Camp Eagle Ridge

I was lucky enough to learn about Camp Eagle Ridge when I met the director, Kelly, at a summer opportunities fair in my home town. I loved her enthusiasm and sincerity and the relatively small size of the camp. It also provides bus transportation from Madison and Milwaukee (a great convenience!). As a first-timer mom sending my boys off to camp 6 years ago, I was grateful to be able to talk with Kelly about my questions and concerns in preparing my boys for that first summer experience. Her patient guidance and reassurance boosted my confidence as a “newbie camp mom” and made that first send-off manageable. The caring environment at Camp Eagle Ridge starts with the director and runs all the way down through the staff. I've been comfortable knowing that my kids enjoy it so much and feel such belonging. They happily returned every summer for 4+ years (5-week sessions). My sons are now aged 18 and 20, and one of them will be a counselor there this summer. It has been a magical experience for them, and I'm so grateful we discovered this camp!

My daughter has attended Camp Eagle Ridge for the past two summers. Her camping experience has been extremely positive in her growth as a leader and adopting a ‘you do you’ approach to life. The environment is excellent and offers kids an opportunity to try new things in an extremely supportive and encouraging environment. She is very much looking forward to her 3rd year — this time as a counselor in training! I highly recommend this camp!

We first learned of Camp Eagle Ridge from a former counselor whom our now 14 year old twins knew from the school where they learned to dance. We heard it’s mission was for kids to learn leadership skills while having fun. The twins spent their first year as campers for two weeks. They loved it, had fun and formed friendships, some lasting to this coming year, their sixth. They’ve become independent, confident, teenagers who have met kids and counselors from many states and from other countries. They found camp life to be fun, challenging and supportive, with creative leaders who help them to be creative in a variety of well-organized activities. The daily photos show us that all the campers have fun, collaborate in games and other activities and develop great memories. To us, that’s what summer camp should do, and Camp Eagle Ridge does this year after year.

Fantastic Camp experience for 3 years! I have 2 teenage boys, now 16 & 18. The first year they attended was their first experience at a camp. They loved it so much that they not only wanted to attend every year but wanted to stay 3 weeks at a time. Exceptional programs both in leadership and recreation. Wonderful facilities and outstanding staff. Can't say enough about our camp experience at Camp Eagle Ridge. Thank you for your top quality service to our boys! It's really evident that you believe in what you do and have pure passion and heart for both the campers' and counselors' experiences!

Camp Eagle Ridge has always been a constant in my life. It opened my eyes and heart as a camper. It helped teach me responsibility and leadership as a teenager. It helped me understand the deep connection I have, and continue to have, with others. I love Camp Eagle Ridge. The staff is well-trained and high quality people. I look forward to the day when my kids are old enough to experience it!
