Canal Shell

I used to go to the Shell station quite often considering it's only two blocks from my home. after today's interaction I will no longer be going to the Shell station unless I'm paying for gas at the pump. Not a single employee in the store had a mask on their face that wasn't under their chin. Three customers in the store with no mask on their face as well. Since the store has had a management change it is being run by people who just really don't care about their community or their neighbors. I advise staying out of the inside of this store as they don't care about people's health during a pandemic

it was the nastiest bathroom I've ever seen. The door was rusted and wouldn't shut and could not be locked. The bathroom was not cared for and had a clogged toilet.

I only come here when I need to. I feel like every time I do go I have some issue with the pumps though. Whether the card reader doesn't work or the pump outputs a gallon a minute. The convenience store is clean and well kept.

Car wash experience was terrible. Receipt printer at pump failed had to get code for $8 deluxe wash inside, then car wash shut down mid wash, so I went back in, got a new wash code, which was for the $5 express. So I got downgraded without compensation and the whole experience took three times as long as it should have. Avoid this car wash.

Very nice services, nice staff and always smiling

I posted this review almost 3 weeks ago on Diaz Market's facebook page. "Terrible service at the 4701 Canal St location. I work for a transportation company that utilizes this station. We spend thousands and thousands of dollars there, annually. More often than not, all of our drivers have to go inside to get a receipt. Once inside, the attendants usually act as though it's a hassle to give us a receipt. Many times, the attendants are on the phone, discussing personal issues. I worked at a gas station when I was in high school; there is no reason not to keep receipt paper in the printer, at the pump. All too often, one or more of the pumps are out of order, and the ones that are working, need to have new viewer screens. Unable to view credit card entry prompts! The car wash facility constantly has issues. While the pump area is well-lit, the surrounding parking areas, as well as the air/vacuum/car wash areas are not well-lit, as a number of vagrants and panhandlers hang around, or urinate in the darkest corners. There is no reason for this business to be in constant need of regular, daily service, or disrepair. I expect better service and pumps from the owner/franchisee, Diaz." ~~~~ Since then, the two pumps that were out of order, still haven't been repaired. The few pumps that do work, still have no receipt paper in them. I'm there almost daily, so I know the paper hasn't just run out, again. There are still no lights in the car wash. What a surprise to pull into a dark car wash, only to have someone jump out while urinating in the bay. I received a reply from Diaz Market, insisting that they didn't operate that way, and promised to look into the situation. ALL TALK. no action. Not surprised. Your best and most profitable clients deserve far better service.

I have always enjoyed this Shell station. Easy to get to, prices are not marked up. Just remodeled the outside and got new pumps. New owners.

Cashier put my girlfriend’s money on the wrong pump, the guy on the pump filled up his tank and left, then when she asked to have the money put on the correct pump the cashier locked himself in the office and wouldn’t come out

The best gas station And the service is great there and everything is available.

Place is expensive AF...gas is 25-40cents per gallon more than anywhere...its supposedly 24hrs and is always closed past 10pm...
