The happy hour prices here are crazy cheap. $3.25-3.50 for beers and they even had a carving station going. The horseradish sauce can be a bit intense so I'm getting it on the side this time
By far one of the best dive bars in Denver. Unbelievably good burgers & wings. Everything is fair priced. Fun, laid back atmosphere. It's a low key neighborhood spot with a lot of fun regulars. I've seen some reviews that say the staff is lazy/disrespectful, absolutely not true. Some of the nicest, helpful servers and bartenders in the city. Chris & Steve are the coolest bartenders and so fun to shoot the breeze with. And if you see the owner there, holler at him and he'll for sure buy you a drink & chat it up like anyone else. Highly recommended for a chill, weekday night.
Candlelight Tavern was a fun place to stop for a few brews. Prices were good for Denver and overall I thought the beer selection was good for a dive bar. Didn’t try food but will next time. Bartender was also very nice and welcoming. Will be back. And unlike most dive bars, they had a bathroom mirror in the men’s room so you could snap a quick selfie for the ‘gram
Candlelight Tavern is a great place to meet friends. We were there on a Thursday night and the place was still busy. They have some great bar games and their food is amazing. The location is easy to get to, and the bar staff are amazing.
What a great neighborhood bar. The entire staff is very friendly. Met Dave the owner. Super friendly and hospitable. Definitely love every time we come in.
Sweet dive bar with the best burger in Dever, hell probably best in CO, idk· I added bacon and cheese on mine, and the pickles are actually real! Kiss the cook, I kissed her with a 10 bill just before we left· ·God Save the Cook·
This is a friendly neighborhood tavern. Service is great with efforts to remember your name and drink order... they're menu is burgers and wings. They are consistently wonderful. Come with friends or by your self..... older usually gone by 8. Than the younger people take over 21 to 50! You gotta take the chance .......been open many years.. guessing 90 years...
Great chill neighborhood dive bar. I would definitely put them in the 5 burgers spots in Denver metro. The people are cool, the vibe is pretty chill, the staff is great, and they have great daily specials. Definitely worth a trip if you are in the neighborhood and looking for a drink or bite.
Only been once so maybe they were just having an off night, but I won't be coming back to find out. The food was quite good for the price, but all their ketchup bottles were empty - multiple other tables came over to ask if they could use our ketchup and we had to say "ours is empty too". All of their taps were down so only canned/bottled beer. And I had to wait for about 15 minutes to get a drink. It also didn't have the vibe of a dive bar as much as a bar for hipsters who wanted to pretend they were at a dive bar. Overall not the worst experience I've had, but too many good places to grab a drink or a bite to make it worth coming back here.
Went there for a company party, so I can't really give a full review. They have a great atmosphere, plenty of TVs for Avalanche games and better than average tequila selection. I Could see how this place would be a good local hangout spot.
