I absolutely love the apartment complex. Staff is very friendly and very helpful anytime I need something and anytime I see them. Application process was easy and quick. Check in and move in was also quick and easy. Love love love having a washer and dryer hook up. The fitness center and pool is really nice and well kept. Our kitchen sink leaked and the day after I called the maintenance man came and fixed it. The complex is in a perfect location, most things Walmart, Kroger, bank is no more than 15 minutes away. Neighbors are nice and the neighborhood is great. I really like the activities they put on like ice cream trucks, movies at the pool, grilling and games. Love it here! My only complaint is that there is no recycling.
This place has THE BEST maintenance around! Literally the next day or sometimes same day will fix anything from a microwave handle to a ceiling fan. Bravo
I lived at Canter Chase for over a year and loved it. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept up! My apartment was very nice. I rented a 3 bedroom that was not renovated but still was very nice. I only had one maintenance issue the entire time I lived there and the maintenance man came to my apartment on a Saturday to turn the thermostat up on my water heater. One of the biggest reasons I chose to live at Canter Chase is that they allow pets and have lots of space where you can walk your dog. The girls in the office were very nice and always helpful. Anytime I came in the office, they greeted me by my name! They were always doing things for the people that live there like having taco nights, movie nights, smore's nights outside by the fire pit and pool parties to name a few. This is a great way to meet your neighbors! Even living on the first floor, I always felt very safe. I have recommended Canter Chase to friends and would definitely recommend them again!
Can't wait to move in the staff was amazing and the location is beautiful in the fall. Can't wait to see the place in spring and summer. Winter is coming up and honestly happy I choose this little place
My husband and I lived at Canter Chase for 2 years and our overall experience was a positive one. The community was nice and quiet and this was a good place to get on our feet after we got married. Anytime we had a maintenance issue, the staff did a good job of getting someone out in a timely manner. Ms. Sandy was by far our favorite person to work with in the office, she was also very nice and professional. We'd still be there if we'd not bought a house recently for our growing family.
I have had very bad experiences with this apartment complex. I’ve lived in quite a few different apartments in my life and never once had to pay for damages at one. I think they take advantage of you having pets and deeming any damage on them when the apartment themselves are very lacking. I have been the type to descriptively write down all of the errors an apartment has in order to avoid these issues while moving out but they managed to be severely nitpicky. It would not be worth anyone’s time and actual money to live here. It’s no wonder it’s reasonably priced because the rooms are not great. For one, the mailboxes are against bedroom walls so the communal part of it has the ability to slam it open and shut whenever someone’s checking the mail. So some people check their mail late at night and since the mailboxes are metal, it makes a sound inside your bedroom that sounds like someone’s breaking in. Then you have the issue of hearing your upstairs/downstairs neighbors perfectly. I heard one too many conversations of my upstairs tenant. This place makes you go insane. I was lucky enough to not have to live there most of my time in my lease. Otherwise, it would’ve been a horrible year living there. I am so glad to be out of this place because it seems they take advantage of their tenants after their lease is up. So good luck to anyone who lives there and to anyone living there owning pets. Edit: Dealing with this apartment complex is not worth it. They claim that we alone caused severe pet damage to our apartments’s carpets in every single room and so we gave proof in photos and previous Move Out statements from former apartments we’ve lived at where shockingly our adult pets did not cause any damage there but to no avail, are still being charged for the full amount for their carpets. It seems like a scam honestly just because they want to replace carpets. This apartment complex claims to pull up the carpet after every move out from their past tenants yet they didn’t show proof of former tenants not having any stains in their carpets. They showed us receipts on when they purchased new carpeting. The sad thing is we are definitely being targeted for owning pets. The stains very well could’ve been from former tenants of theirs since there’s no proof that they pulled up the carpets then. My theory is they only pull up rugs when they know a pet has been living there and not after any time a tenant leaves even if they don’t have a pet. We have rights as tenants to counter their move out inspection. They took it very lightly and it is highly disturbing. Just be very weary of living here because they’re clearly in it for taking your extra money.
Worst experience I've ever had living in an apartment. The toilets always built up with black mold constantly as well as around the faucets my brother and I were both very sick from this as well as our dog who had frequent bowel accidents due to the mold. The office staff was always very unprofessional with us and referred to us as those kids and treated us like children. Granted we are young and it was our first apartment together. My brother has rented many places Pryor and has never had experiences like this. We never had any problems while living in our 3 bedroom which was not in view of the main office. In fact we lived above the courtesy cop who absolutely adored us and sent us texts and everything telling us how great neighbors we were and how much better we were than the last tenants and how much he appreciated us. Our third roommate decided to go separate way and my brother and I went down to a two bedroom after 6 months of being in the apartment complex and never having a problem, the two-bedroom ended up being located next to Sherry who is the main employee in the information office. After moving into that two bedroom and More in view of the front office we started getting many random accusations on our door telling us to correct this problem or move out. These accusations included telling us to show the vet records for our cat immediately which we never had a cat ever living there and to also pick up after our dog which we always did outside, on rare occasions he had diarrhea from the mold poisoning him and it was impossible to pick up! Upon signing the lease the lady that helped us, Candice, told us that in order to accuse a tenant of not picking up after their pet you have to provide photo evidence. When asking to see this evidence they could not provide it to me. I spent over $1,000 back and forth from the vet trying to find out what was wrong with my dog and what was making him so sick. Since living in my new apartment which has been 7 months now my dog has not had diarrhea one time or had any bowel accident. After being frequently harassed and talk down to multiple times within a year. By the office staff in our two bedroom we decided to go to a new place which we love. However after leaving I received $1,000 carpet bill when I asked why it was that high she said because the entire carpet throughout the apartment was so soiled plus the underpad and there was no way. My dog only ever had his accident in one spot a couple times, so naturally I asked for photo evidence. Sherry sent me through an email after being very rude 10 pictures of 1 spot from a bunch of different angles. Also my brother and I always round up when paying our rent and overpaid multiple times we were never credited these amounts. In our new apartment we are credited to the cent. I also thought my rent was higher than it was after getting a privacy fence which was half the size of the other two bedroom privacy fences and when asked why there was really no explanation provided in for four consecutive months and paid $20 over and never saw that money. I absolutely adore my apartment now the office staff is so respectable and amazing it really made me see that this is not apartment living Canter Chase is just a horrible place to live. I do not recommend it to anyone unless you want to be falsely accused all the time, money disappearing, and black mold. When we told maintenance about the black mold and they came in to see the apartment they said in the sink it was caked up ash someone must have burned incense which we never did. It was definitely mold and it was also in the toilets which my friends and family confirmed. I'm just happy myself my brother and my dog are healthy now. I strongly don't recommend living here.
I've been here for about a year and I've had a very good experience! The people in the office are very helpful and caring. They always remember my name and even my dog's name! I live in a one bedroom apartment very comfortably with my big German shepherd. They accept most big dogs, which is a rare find. Everything is convenient and easy to use like paying for rent online. It's a great community and I feel very welcome and comfortable here! Edit: I'd like to update with a poor experience that we had while we were living here. My partner at the time had a company car that we kept here while he was on a job out of state. Because it was brand new, we paid for a covered parking spot, and due to limited availability, it was on the other side of the property meaning I didn't check on the car every single day. One day when I was walking by, I happened to notice that the car was GONE. I panicked, called my partner, and then called the police. I was informed that the car had been TOWED by the property for not displaying a proper parking tag. The parking tag has been on that car since we first got it! Due to company insurance reasons, I was unable to drive the car - only my partner was - and he was out of town. Once I proved to management that the car was indeed legally parked, they sort of apologized and told me to bring them the bill for getting it out of the impound lot. But, again, I wasn't allowed to drive it, and therefore I couldn't get it out. Management started calling and harassing me multiple times a day - complaining that the bill was going up each day that it was sitting in the lot. I told them that it wasn't my fault they couldn't glance at the car and see the parking tag!! So, when my partner got a chance to come back in to town, we went and picked up the car and immediately submitted the bill for reimbursement. It took them a few days to pay us back and I suppose the problem was technically resolved -- but not after a lot of hassle and issue.
Canter chase has been a great experience for my roommate and me. The apartment life is great and part of the reason we moved to these apartments.
After reading some of the reviews for Canter Chase, I was concerned about moving here, but one of my closest friends who lived here until he got a house highly recommended the complex. Honestly, he was right, I’ve loved my apartment so far. The staff, both in the office and the maintenance, have been incredibly friendly. When I leave for work in the morning, the maintenance staff is always out combing the grounds for trash, making sure the grounds stay incredible looking which they really do. Most apartments I have lived in have been concrete jungles of buildings and parking lots with little to no trees or grass. Apparently this used to be a tree farm, and there are amazing old trees, lots of grassy areas, and beautiful landscaping. I’m always greeted by a smile and asked how I’m doing. When I have time, they’re great to stop and chat or joke with. The couple times I have had maintenance requests which weren’t even emergencies, they were taken care of within 24 hours. They’re so, so, so much better than anywhere I’ve been before. The reviews that the walls are paper thin and you hear everything from your neighbors seem grossly exaggerated. I live on a second floor apartment, and if I hadn’t seen my downstairs and next door neighbors coming and going, I’d assume there was no one there. I haven’t heard a sound from either. My electric bill has also been lower than almost any apartment I’ve had before my last apartment was especially drafty, even after winterizing the windows. Granted, the weather has been pretty mild in my time here, so we’ll see if that holds true. I love the layout of my apartment. I live in a 2 bedroom with a roommate, and our rooms are on opposite sides of the living room and we each have our own full bathroom in the bedroom. The privacy this provides is amazing. The 24 hours fitness center is great. I don’t work out a ton, but when I do, it’s usually at odd hours. There’s brand new equipment and free weights, which is everything I need. The TVs have a ton of DirecTV channels I’m usually the only one in there when I go and flip it to a music station, it’s great to not have to use my headphones. The business center is also 24 hours, which really came in handy when I needed to print out some concert tickets. I’ve been loving the community events. The guy that runs them, Tim, is as friendly as can be. So far I’ve been to Taco Tuesday taco bar in the clubhouse, Chick-fil-A night, “Grill & chill” with hot dogs and sides, and a pizza and brackets party for March Madness. That’s just in the last few months! The pool party coming up is supposed to have a DJ and be catered by Mark’s Feed Store. It’s been fun meeting a variety of neighbors of all ages and walks of life that enjoy sharing a meal with each other. I’ve already recommended the apartments to a friend, they’ve applied and will be moving in next month can’t wait to get that $299 for referring!. I’d keep recommending Canter Chase to anyone looking for a great apartment with beautiful grounds and an awesome staff.
