A phenomenal game shop for local engagement, and supports all kinds of hobbies from Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and table-top board games! I've been visiting since events resumed after the pandemic, and have found friendly and welcoming folks, and been able to get involved with the Thursday D&D and Sunday MTG Commander days. An absolute staple of the community, kind staff, and well stocked for new items and sets. Whether you love board games, cards, or are just visiting Baltimore, I recommend stopping by!
Canton Games is a neat little store right outside of the Fells Point waterside area, and they have been a destination stop for me since I was an even younger man. The owner is really nice, and takes great care of his customers. It also has a nice bit of that 'Cheers Vibe' in that I walked in recently after having not been there for a long while, and Dan Hoffman had to namedrop, I'll explain called me over by name. This may not seem like much to most of you, but I've cleverly disguised myself in several hundred more lunches and dinners since the last time he saw me. So, all in all, very impressive recall. And a fun little store. I definitely recommend a visit!
First off, they do exist! They've been here for 15 years and I never knew about them. It's a smaller location and they have the basics from Sega SNES to PS2, 3 and 4 games 360 Xbox and Wii. Also tabletop and Trading cards too. Give them a visit
Lovely local game shop in the city! They stock a variety of card, board and video games that appeal to the nostalgic and the modern. The customer service was also incredible. If you haven’t checked this place out yet, you’re missing out!
I first started coming to Canton Games 4 years ago to pick up the occasional board game and was always happy with their service. Over the last year, I've been coming by a lot more and have joined the super friendly Magic community there. Coming by for Friday Night Magic and Commander, when I can is something that I look forward to every week. I highly recommend checking out Canton Games, especially their prerelease events!
Dan was extremely helpful in picking out games for people with different interests on my Christmas list. He took some time to really understand what I was looking for and gave suggestions to help me choose. Shipping was quick, service was exceptional. 10/10 recommend; will shop here again.
Canton Games is a wonderful game shop with a fun and welcoming gaming community. As a newcomer to Baltimore and table top games, I am incredibly thankful to Dan, Steph, Lindsey, and the gaming family they support. Overall the store has a nice selection of games, books, cards, and accessories. However, for me the many weekly events and the people you will meet by frequenting the shop are what makes Canton Games special.
I've been coming here for years and always have a good time. Friday night Magic draws in a great crowd that's fun to play with, and talking to Dan makes finding a new game that fits with what I enjoy easy.
Visited the area coming from NY, this was a quaint little store I found with a friend. We both visited for out first time and were pleasantly surprised by the selection of board games, mini figs, and video games. The employees were very helpful with locating and suggesting games as well as fun to chat with while we browsed. A great first time experience and I would reccomend it again.
Great little game shop! They fit so much cool stuff into this tiny space. Love playing in Steph’s D&D game; she does a great job keeping our chaotic group in order and telling an interesting story!
