Story

At our Woodstock, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Last week when I visited, the dining room was closed, so it's drive thru service only that may have changed, but it seems like the closure is due to a labor shortage. The cashier that took my order was very nice, though she seemed to be fairly confused; I ordered ahead of time online, and then added to my order once I arrived. Through patience we were able to sort it out. As for the food, Captain D's consistently has the best fish & chips, and dare I say it they're usually better than the places you would spend upwards of $18 for a lesser meal.
One of the best Captain D's we have ever visited!! Talk about customer service! Brought our food to the table and even brought refills to us without asking! Will definitely visit again when we are in the area!
Went there today for lunch the one lady is always nice and helpful when I am there however I can't say much for the other older lady blonde with pink in her hair I have witnessed her being rude and today she was complaining about another employee that works there which I think is inappropriate at anytime but even more inappropriate when customers are in the restaurant. If she is that unhappy with her job maybe she should quit instead of just talking about it. Food was decent but may be a while before I back after today.
LOVE Captain D's!!! The window lady with the pretty hair was fantastic. The dude behind the counter was friendly and conversational. The food was great as usual and as Arnold says..." I'll be back"!
Fast service, clean restaurant, good food both Chicken and Fish.
Excellent service & normal capt d food. But they are short staffed so as of this review Aug 24, 2022 - the dining room closed at 7pm; the drive thru closes at 8pm.
Always have a great experience when I visit this restaurant the staff is super nice the food is always hot and excellent. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Last night was the first time I’ve ever been to this location. Now I have major food poisoning. I couldn’t even go into work this morning I’m so sick. Do not eat here.
While the manager or employee seemed to be working the store herself, drive thru only. She was friendly and the food was hot and delicious. Thanks
That's to covid we have not been to this location in some time. We missed it, a small group of us go every other week and plan to start doing it again. Love the food and the staff.
