Capture Life Events is a studio offering photography and video services for all the experiences in life that you want to preserve. Crystal offers family, newborn, first year, cake smash, maternity and specialty sessions, life unicorn experiences and portraits in the tree blossoms. She is willing to travel and also photographs weddings, birth stories and boudoir!! Her experience, especially with newborns, is a real asset to her clients. She treats everyone like her friend and makes you feel welcome. I'm excited for the new, much larger studio location!
I used this company after being referred by my venue/coordinator for my wedding. Crystal is excellent and was very helpful during the wedding day. She is thoughtful and a great photographer. The turn around time to get my photos back was quick as well. My husband and I are very happy with her services. Thank you Crystal! Thank you to the additional photographer as well! I cannot remember her name, but she was very nice and great as well!
I can’t say enough about this photographer. I wish I would have hired her for my own wedding. I met Crystal after I had my first child. She did and i home newborn session for our family. We have hired Crystal ever since. For years now she’s captured all our memories and milestones. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. She delivers quality work over and over. Even when my kids don’t cooperate and I think the session is a bust she always surprises me with something beautiful in my gallery reveal. The whole session she is focused and snapping photos. She catches moments I would’ve never thought she could have seen! She always delivers. Don’t put off getting photos. You never get the time back!
I don’t usually review businesses but I had a great experience today with Crystal and Laurie. The studio is professional but warm/cozy and there are so many little things they do… snack basket, waters, diapers, comfy couch to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The set and backdrop they created was better than I could have ever imagined and the outfits they picked for my daughter were adorable! They were so patient with my 1 year old who screamed and cried the entire session and they even took extra time for my husband and son to arrive to try to get some smiles from her! Even with all of her crying and screaming, I think they got some good shots. I will definitely recommend this studio to my family and friends as it was such an easy and great experience even with the tears lol.
Crystal and her team captured our memories at my wedding back in May and she was amazing! She has a great personality and was incredibly helpful with all things wedding, even helping the groomsmen with pinning their flowers. She got our photos back to us quickly and I am absolutely in love with them!
After looking into newborn photography a friend of mine suggested I go to Crystal. I went through and contacted her to set up a newborn session. A Few weeks after the session I went in to choose my photos. As expected I liked most my pictures. Later that day she contacted me asking for my billing zipcode and I let her know I wanted to make some changes to fit my budget and switch to digitals for the moment. The communication problems began there. She quickly charged my card without letting me know. I found out through an automatic email invoice I received that my favorite photos were canceled and my grand total. I contacted her and never got a response, tried to reach out a few more times after that. Time went by and I still did not receive not one text/call/email from Crystal. I remained patient giving her the benefit of the doubt that she might be busy. After months of not hearing from her and investing over $700 I began to feel scammed. I regret not going with Milne photography in the first place. I had seen their work posted all over my doctor's office throughout my pregnancy and couldn't wait to set up a session. Now all I'm left with is photos I took on my cellphone. It saddens me knowing I will never have that special newborn moment captured in a professional photograph.
Crystal Kelley, the owner of Capture Life Events photographed my wedding on September 25, 2021. Crystal stated I would have my photos in two months. On December 30, 2021, my wedding planner reached out to her regarding the ETA on completion of the photos. Crystal stated they would be complete within 2 weeks. After December 30th, Crystal had zero communication with myself or my wedding planner until February 23, 2022. Between this time, 10+ emails were sent to Crystal between my wedding planner and I, five phone calls were made, one text message was sent and one Instagram message was sent, as well as trying to contact one of her other photographers that assisted Crystal at the wedding. During this time, Crystal continued to advertise new sessions on Instagram, although she could not complete what was already on her plate. Crystal did not respond to any attempts of contacting her until February 23, 2022, and when she finally called, she had zero apology and provided excuses with an attitude. She never took responsibility for the delay in her obligations and her focus seemed to be passing blame off to others as opposed to resolving the situation. When I emphasized on the phone my frustrations of her unprofessionalism, she responded “okay”. In addition, when I did receive my “complete” gallery of photos, some photos were missing, and a couple were blurry. When these issues were brought to her attention, there continued to be silence from her. Finally on February 28th, 2022 5 months after my wedding and a drawn-out battle of trying to receive services paid in full, I finally received our “complete” package of photos although two blurry photos could not be corrected and one photo the only photo with a certain individual was lost. The effort to try to get these final items corrected was a lost cause. I had minimally known Crystal through a friend prior to hiring her, so was shocked and disappointed when this is the treatment I received. I am sharing this review in hopes of no one else having to experience what my husband and I did. I advise everyone to avoid hiring Capture Life Events. Crystal Kelley is ill-mannered, unprincipled and uncompassionate. This experience of retrieving our wedding photos was a nightmare. No one should have to wait this long or experience a situation like this, especially regarding something as special as one’s wedding memories.
We did family photos and they were good. I ordered over $300 in digital prints from her November 18th, 2021. I was told it would take a few weeks to get me the prints with the corrections I wanted. I told her that there were 5 I needed asap for Christmas cards and the rest could be sent a few weeks later because I know they are busy around the holidays. We my patients and kindness got me no where. It is February 9th, 2022 and they have my money but I still do not have the rest of my prints, and my emails and phone calls go unanswered. They have a good eye for photography, but if you never get the pictures you pay for what good is it. Capture Life, I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to clarify. We had family pictures taken by your company and ordered additional prints later. I do not see how that has anything to do with me being rapidity ignored. I ordered the prints and edits, and was told I would receive them in a week. I did not receive them and tried to be sympathetic to how busy you were and I asked if I could get a few of the photos to order holiday cards. I would love to see the proof that the remaining images were sent in January. I too have proof of the multiple calls and emails I made that your company did not reply too. Including the last text from February 14th when I was told I would receive my photos "tomorrow". but again I did not receive my photos and no one would reply to my calls, texts. I emailed the email listed on your website and replied the email addresses from emails you sent me. I hope you would understand how I feel when I receive no communication after paying you. If you gave a company your money, contacted them several different ways and did not receive a reply how would you feel? By the tone of your reply, you don't appreciate any of my feedback. I have other issues with how you have handled this situation and the "edits" from the photos. If you really do value my feedback you may contact me. But my guess is you wont contact me because you don't really care. You simply want to do your best to discredit my review to cover up the poor customer service of your business.
This is my third session and I loved all of them so far! Everyone is so friendly and very responsive. Even when we took pictures around the holidays we still got them back in a timely manner. Highly recommend!
She kept saying she was going to email me my newborn pictures and it’s been over 5 months now. I lost hope. Would never recommend her.
