These guys are awesome! We had a full system installed in an older Ford Bronco by the crew at Car Toys off Halsey in Portland. The manager Travis was awesome to work with. He helped us select the right system for our project. He was super easy to work with, professional, and experienced. The installer was super meticulous and we were so impressed by his work. Looks flawless! I was so nervous about the retrofit to the older dash and he makes it!!!We added a sophisticated alarm system to an old truck, and I couldn’t be happier. I visited another car toys in Portland, and was immediately turned off by the sales team. Not friendly at all. Travis and his crew deserves a 5 star. Rating. Go see these guys, everyone in the office was amazing! Thanks to that group of professionals for doing a great job. We will be back for sure!!!

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, I had them Install a key, anti theft system, speakers, radio and a sub. All at a great price. I got into a accident that wasn’t covered by the warranty the sub got unhooked and the fuses got all messed up and they fixed it all just with cost of labor. These guys do great work! Would definitely recommend

From the moment I walked in the door the environment was warm and welcoming. I never felt pressured into buying anything. The staff members were knowledgeable, comprehensive and humorous. I ended up getting a beautiful Alpine stereo and speakers for my Jeep Wrangler. Both Travis and Kevin made my experience well worth it.

I had the pleasure of getting my car detailed at the car toys on gateway. From the second I walked in, everyone was incredibly nice, warm and friendly. When I explained my reason for visiting, they introduced me to a young man named Jacob who does the detailing. Jacob is a rockstar!!! He is super thorough, and will listen to any of your concerns about your car before he even gets started. He took such amazing care of my car, it looks like it did the day I drove it off the lot. I Will absolutely be coming back to have my car detailed there on a regular basis, 10 out of 10 experience start to finish every single associate in the store is wonderful!!! I highly recommend, and Jacob needs a massive raise! :

I would love to give this shop a better review. The work they did was great, their technicians did a great job. The three stars is because I made an appointment over the phone for Saturday, went in and they had no record of the appointment. Was told I could leave the car as a walk in and it would take 4-6 hours, or schedule an appointment for Sunday.at 10am and it would be a couple of hours. Dropped the car off in time and it wasn't ready until 4:30. I called at 12:30 and was told I was next in line, not sure how that could have been true since it took another four hours. On top of that every time I was in the store another customer was having similar scheduling issues. I saw three other customers complaining about scheduling issues. Counter people are fun and friendly, the work was good, but they need to get a handle on realistic schedule times.

The guys at the Halsey Car Toys did a great job with my 66 mustang classic. They were very careful with choosing the right expert with the car and went the extra mile to dial it in while keeping it as original as possible. Now I can cruise with the top down and hear the tunes clearly. What a difference! The folks were awesome at the shop. Polite, proactive, on time and quality work. Even found a concern with the trickle charger wiring and fixed it for me

Travis was amazing to deal with. Took time to come look at my truck and talk to me about my options. I had a new apple car play deck installed as well as a backup camera. I could not be happier with how it turned out and the staff was incredible. Highly recommend the Gateway Car Toys location.

Awesome customer service! Installed a new radio in our vehicle in less than 20 hours from when we initially requested it at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening so we could use Android Auto on a big road trip by 2pm the next day! Angel and the rest of the team were great to work with from start to finish! They definitely went above and beyond for us!

I was given this place as the recommendation to get my tail lights replaced, the whole light casings, not just bulbs. I feel like they did a good job with the install, although they did not tell me there was a chip in the brand new light, which makes me think they dropped it, but he allowed me to clean the insides around my light blocks before they completed and put casing back on, which I appreciate it that because they were very dirty. The only other issues I had were that they made it a point to over-estimate the pricing so that I would not be overcharged at the end of the service, but then forgot to add their “parts charge“ and that was an extra $40 charge that I did not anticipate along with having to buy their bulbs when I had the option to buy my own but they didn’t tell me that until later, and I was not happy about those two things. Plus I think they broke my light but won’t admit to it. They did offer a small discount but I didn’t take it because it was the principle of lack of communication. Otherwise very friendly employees and I would recommend the service but make sure you ask all the questions upfront and take pics of your equipments so they can’t say it wasn’t their fault.

Excellent customer service and they had what I wanted. I had a full system installed years ago in happy valley, and they did a great job except for the alarm it happens with Durango’s. And went to this car toys to get another new big boy sub. Happy camper over here! Thanks for the help.
