The staff couldn't care less about treating patients. Tried calling everyday for two weeks after being prescribed the wrong BP medicine only to get the run around. Its been over a month of eradic BP and spiked HR with no answers. This clinic only cares about the money they know insurance will pay them.
Just drove two hours for my grandmothers appointment to be told that they only have expired medications on hand that the can not give her for her stress test that was order over a month ago now. Resulting in us having to come back for a new appointment. If we can get three different phone calls from a live worker reminding us of the appointment please explain why the medications needed for the appointment were not checked prior to our arrival? Meanwhile sitting it the waiting area a different patient informs us that this is his 4th trip here for the same test and it has been something different every single time. I expressed how hard it is for us to get here from where we live especially early in the morning when making this appointment. They reassured us that everything would be done in the same day and she would be good to go. The worker proceeded to tell me that “this is not usually an issue that we run into and we do our best to stay on top of expired medications, but I don’t know what happened this time.” Refused to look at me when I was speaking to her, considering I am my grandmothers care giver. I have zero trust in this facility when it comes to the care for such an important organ of the human body THE HEART. Mind you they “specialize” in. They are careless and care free! We now have to wait over a month for a new appointment for the same test when her heart is skipping beats.
Check in was smooth as glass, spacious waiting room, swift service, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Trevor nurse and Kiernan PA were knowledgeable and friendly. Front desk staff was top-notch. Sadly, I did not catch his name, but he was above and beyond helpful getting us checked in, and set up for follow-up appointments on check-out. 10/10 would recommend!
As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the nicest receptionist, Demetria, who checked us in and made us feel so welcome! Her professionalism gave us confidence in the practice and made us feel more than comfortable. Our PA, Jeanne, was also extremely knowledgeable and gave us answers/ information no other doctor has before. She listened to everything we had to say and took every symptom into consideration. Then recommended several ways to potentially diagnose the problem. Thank you, Bayview Cardiovascular Associates, for providing us with the utmost care. We’re so grateful for the service we received!
After speaking with the Bayview Cardiovascular Office Manager, Darlene Hernandez, I am amending my original review. Ms. Hernandez called based on the review to explain that while there is no excuse, the management has been obtaining bids for a new phone system and will be looking at a better scheduling system in the future. She offered her direct line in the event of any problems contacting the office and will personally meet with us at our next appointment this month. I originally gave a 1 star review to this group because of not being able to get through via phone. I am satisfied at this point with Ms. Hernandez's excellent customer service and look forward to a more professional and stress free experience.
I have seen Dr. Maturi-Allen and she takes the time with you as well as make sure she answers any questions you may have. I have seen other staff for different test and they make the appointment go by with great personalities. The one issue I had was I needed to get a ZioPatch heart monitor and so they waited than said I didn’t need a prior authorization for it. However, I was not expecting a decent bill to follow so it would be great if it were said you may end up with a bill to follow so no one is caught off guard. Overall, aside from that small incident it is a nice pleasant office for care and the doctor cares!
Dr. Mary Maruri-Allen,& her entire team, is the most thorough, understanding Doctor I have ever known. She is relentless & wont stop until she has an answer. I might not like the answer, but it fixes the issue at hand. I trust her with my life!
I was highly disappointed in Dr. Perdoncin's care. I saw her on a Monday where she increased a med and also prescribed a new med because of painful swelling. I was also scheduled for a test. Upon leaving the office i verified she would be calling in the new prescription and which pharmacy they had on record. After days of waiting for it to be called in still in pain and numerous calls to the office, constantly being told someone would call me back and not hearing from anybody, the med tech had to wait for Dr. Perdoncin to either be in the office and or to tell him what to call in because she didn't write it down, a prescript was called in. Unfortunately Dr. Perdoncin called in a prescription for a med I've been on for years. Again numerous calls to the office started. I was told twice that a med had been called in yet the pharmacy never received a thing. After 11 days I gave up. I went to my primary care, told her what was going on and the constant battle to get out of pain. She did in 15 minutes what Dr. Perdoncin couldn't manage to do and get right in 11 DAYS. Within 30 minutes i was picking up my meds. Dr. Perdoncin also waited to long to answer questions on the test needed so it was cancelled and then not approved. I would hate to find out if I had a true medical emergency how this would have been handled. I left this practice and found a new cardiologist that actually cared! Would not reccomend at all!
Dr Kazakis and Dr Griffin are fabulous! Front desk staff leave a lot to be desired. They are nice enough, just inept. I know its hard to find employees these days, but come on Bayview!
These guys are litteral life savers, and are very busy at the Old Donation location. I've been kept alive and a CVAL patient for almost 20-years. Like I said, they are very busy. The only complaints I have had are reflected and confirmed in the one-star reviews. The front end office management has always needed to be better organized and managed since Bayview took over. This is most likely a hired management company by Bayview. If you want the best, ask for Dr. Talreja.
