If I could give negative stars I would. I have lived under this management company for almost 8 years and was happy until just before the pandemic. The management team, when we have a representative is absent at best. When there was a shooting between residents and the SWAT team showed up their advice to everyone and solution to the violence was to "look out their peep hole before answering". To fill the laundry cards you must access the office, which seems to be closed more often then open. There doesn't seem to be any vetting of future residents as we've had multiple residents not pay rent each month and get evicted, violent people who break windows, ect. My apartment ceiling has had to be repaired countless times due to the upstairs residents flooding their bathroom floor. The "fountain" in the courtyard is disgusting, the ceilings in walkways always fall down, they only clean up when there is a walk with the owner or higher management team. The mailroom blasts heat year round, and we get to pay for that as residents. The trash and/or recycling is always overflowing. They can't seem to manage who has which parking space, bike storage and locker assignments. Some years they have done 4 audits to figure it out, and they still don't know. The location is great, but that is the only redeeming factor. I look forward to moving out and feel bad for anyone who decides to live under these conditions. Plan to pay $65 for gas ontop of the $40-$140 elecitric bills. Due to their inability to keep the apartments occupied those with larger square footage will foot that gas bill and water bill, so be aware many of your neighbors must be taking 5 showers each day. *as I cannot reply to management's response, I have communicated this, many many times. I even reached out to the owner of the building. Its been a transition period of over 2 years. Also, the washer/dryer situation is a gamble... will the washer use the spin cycle or will your clothes be completely soaked and either have to move them to another washer before drying or use 3 cycles of a dryer?! I've had issues with every machine down there. Another topic we have brought up that's never been fixed! Do not live here!
4 years ago I wrote a Gloating review about this property. Today my opinion has changed DRASTICALLY. This "Transitional phase" BS is LAUGHABLE AT BEST. This has been a rapidly declining property since Jennifer Left back in 2020. I STRONGLY ADVICE THAT YOU DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PLACE!!!! IF YOU DO; Be warned. Management cares NOTHING for the tenant's . You will NEVER get a answer when you call the front office. There's RARELY anyone physically there. We have been through 8-10 Office Manager's since 1/2020 IF you can catch the office open to load your laundry card, then Good luck with the washer's... Chance's are your clothes will come out soaked. There was a shooting in our building, we were told to look out our peep holes before answering... AND THEN they RAISED the rent. Top that with the $200 more than our $1800 rent each month in "Communal Utilities" and it equals a WHOLE mess. Unfortunately, we just signed our 4th lease here, because we LOVE the neighborhood. But otherwise... SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES!!! We won't be signing again.
Do NOT live here. I was moved into an apartment with an active leak that had rotted through the tack strip under the carpet. My apartment has tested positive for two types of hazardous mold 6 types overall. After 38 days of residence, with the leak and mold having been reported on day 1, neither has been repaired. At one point they sent out a carpet cleaner who failed to address the actual mold under the flooring. When they offered me another unit of the same floor plan, it was the one a resident was shot in 4 months ago. You could see the stain patterns in the carpet under black light still. The popcorn ceiling paint in the unit was separated from the wall. It's also incredibly frustrating that there was a hole in my wall hidden by a mirror at move in, and when I reported it, they filled it with putty rather than fixing the wall. The putty is still wet 38 days later. The stove burners weren't level they aren't even the right size for the range. The blinds are falling apart and off their mounts. The vinyl floors dent if you sit on a wooden chair. And upper management pretty much hasn't communicated with the folks onsite through and of these issues.
Carlisle on the Parks office staff accepted my deposit of $200 on a unit and then effectively disappeared. The office was literally unstaffed and unreachable in the days following my payment. Their policy is to keep the deposit after 48hrs allowing the prospective tenant to make a final decision. I called repeatedly and attempted to visit the building, twice, having make the payment site unseen. They are now refusing to refund my deposit, stating that providing a cost sheet over a week and a half later and telling me they're having IT issues. Almost a month after submitting payment and I have signed nothing. Huge red flags.
We have lived here for almost a year now and I cannot recommend these apartments enough! The location is so great to get anywhere in Denver or to simply take a pretty walk. The apartments themselves are well-maintained and cared for. The management is awesome. They are the friendliest ALWAYS, are personable, and are always eager to help. Finally, the maintenance team is so great. They are so nice and requests are handled extremely quickly and professionally. This is a wonderful place to live.
We lived in the Carlisle for almost 2 years and absolutely LOVED it. The only reason we're moving is because we purchased a house. The location is first and foremost unbeatable. Quiet neighborhood with easy parking even late at night right next to Cheesman, Denver's most amazing park. There's something to be said about strolling 2 minutes from your front door to a gorgeous, sprawling expanse of green. Jennifer, the property manager, and her staff were also amazing - they were extremely responsive to all of our requests and loved spoiling our pup with treats. The apartment itself was a little older but extremely comfortable. We had a 2BR unit and the thing was a cave - quiet, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It was amazing. It was almost eerily quiet the first few nights - we forgot we were in the city. Throw in a roof deck and some cool neighbors and we were VERY sad to leave. There is no where else I would rent an apartment in our new home city.
The Carlisle has seen positive changes since we first moved in during 2013. The management and maintenance team is one of the most driven and fun I've had in Denver. They've always been willing to work with us on any question or issue, and maintenance has been done promptly. There is also a real sense of community, including happy hour event, competitions and other mixers. It is on the pricier side, given it's proximity to the park, but the Carlisle is a warm and friendly little neighborhood that we're happy to live in.
I have been living here for almost four months. Love the location, the management and maintenance crew are good and friendly. It appears they have done a lot of work to get this place up to par and continue to do so. This was the best location after a long search. Some of the other apartments I looked at in a similar price range in this area appeared to be poorly maintained and in more busy locations with additional road noise and lack of green space. This area is pretty quiet and uber friendly. A couple of minor complaints - maintenance took over a month to fix my dishwasher right after I moved in. They kept scheduling an appointment and then not showing up. The landscape outside my first story window is all rocks where people let their dogs go to the bathroom and on certain days it smells foul. Ideally, they would change the landscape near the building to not be a place for dogs. Just like everywhere else in this neighborhood, the rents are going up fast. It appears rents have already increased $100 per month for new folks in the past couple of months. I secured a year lease just to be safe. There has been quite a few people turned over since I have been here. I also spoke with people who have been here for three years who love it. Their rent has not increased as much on the renewal. All in all, I am happy to be living here where things are taken care of and I can just walk to the park right out my door. It has been a great place for me to land in Denver.
Carlisle is a great place to live. Jennifer and Michelle are great and very helpful. The maintenance guys were very friendly, quick, and efficient. The location and price is great for downtown Denver. Defiantly consider living here.
We love it here. You cannot beat the location that is steps from Cheesman Park. Easy access to downtown and the Cap Hill area is one of my favorite areas in the city. Jennifer and Joe in the office are one of the best management teams out there. Jim in the maintenance department is always really helpful. The rooftop patio gives great views of the mountains and sunsets! I would recommend Carlisle on the Park to anyone!
