Carolina Kitchen

The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere and how chill, relaxing, and inviting it is. The decor is beautiful and I love the neutral warm colors along with the lighting. The food was DELICIOUS. I had the jerk chicken and rice with mac and cheese and collard green and it tasted much better than I had expected. I don't eat cornbread but it looked so good I had to try it and I was glad I did it melts in your mouth. Awesome food at a great place. I noticed a few reviews say it's pricey which I didn't think so because you definitely get your moneys worth!

Service was excellent! Our server was very friendly and focused on making sure our needs were met. Had the catfish platter with rice, and potato salad and greens as the sides. I like my food to have flavor, not necessarily spicy but flavorful. The greens had plenty of flavor, however the fried catfish was bland tasting, and potato salad just Ok. I do give a HUGE thumbs up to the cornbread dipped in butter and some kind of sauce. Not a "bad" restaurant, food is just OK.

My wife and I have dined at this restaurant a couple of times and I have to say that we have NEVER had to wait to be seated, the restaurant is very clean and organized, the staff is very friendly and professional and the food is amazing and is reasonably priced. Carolina Kitchen is one of the best restaurants if not the best restaurant we have dined at in Maryland or any other state. Sorry I could not give you six stars because you deserve it.

What a great place this one I remember going to it was out in Forestville Mall no no no PG Plaza and that place is something else I'm at the nicest young college student from PG County she was so intelligent so professional and I mean she was out there on her own she was from another country but she was so pleasant so realistic you know she's down to earth and yes my wife and I gave you a $40 tip because she was just that good that was way way more than what she's supposed to get but you can't put a price on good service and I'm a type of person that really don't like person waiting on me but she made me feel so comfortable yeah I go out a lot we got this game we play everything you do wrong off of your check so if you are good you get a good tip simple is that

Great food! You won't be disappointed. If you have $10 to $15 for a meal, your stomach will be happy and you'll probably have a good nap afterward. I live near the one in Brandywine Maryland, near Waldorf, and my family shamelessly visits this place at least 4 times a month. But it's a great goto for good quality southern food. Their mac and cheese is a favorite and the Jamaican chicken, and potato salad people travel far for. Don't come on Sundays after church it's jammed or any other obvious holiday like Valentine's or busy times - again because its a favorite - unless you come on an off time. Enjoy!
