As the oldest and largest private neurosurgical practice in the country, our experienced team of specialists provides focused surgical and non-surgical treatment of spine and brain disorders for adults and children. The practice has offices in Charlotte, Concord, Ballantyne, Huntersville, Matthews, Rock Hill and Mooresville.

Our practice includes neurosurgeons, physiatrists, midlevel providers, licensed physical therapists, as well as on-site imaging and physical therapy in most offices.

Dr. Wait is an awesome surgeon. He truly shows genuine compassion to his patients health issues and makes sure that they understand everything in its entirety. He is straight forward and suggest ONLY what is best for his patients treatment or surgery that is needed. Dr Dyer and his team are amazing, they care about me like family. Dr Dyer takes the time to explain everything to me so I can understand he cares about me like I'm his only patient. My stay was very comfortable. The staff was excellent. Best service ever. Very attentive, and made the surgery go smoothly. Special thanks to Sameerah and Laura for answering all my questions and getting the whole process done in a timely manner. And to Sally and the other attending nurses that helped me out. Dr. Dyer is an excellent surgeon. He is very accessible and thoughtful with his care. He as well as his support team have been considerate and kind. I had a most positive result from my surgery; I could not be happier with the pre-care, procedure, and post-care.
Every experience at Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine has been positive. They truly operate as a team from the minute you arrive. Dr. Wiercisiewski has been excellent in explaining my lumbar issues and then guiding me through my treatment options. During the injections, he clearly told me what to expect through the procedure. He is one of a kind physician and I strongly recommend him.
Always a very efficient and professional experience here. I have yearly visits that can be quite stressful. The staff always makes me feel comfortable. You definitely see the level of competence here. Dr Dyer takes plenty of time to answer each and every question very thoroughly.
Dr. smith and the team were fantastic. They were so helpful and put me at ease before my surgery. They were so nice and personable in everything they do. I would recommend Dr. Smith and his team to anyone that needs to have a procedure done. They are truly awesome.
I had a fall in August and my injuries were definitely life threatening. I don't remember the accident or what followed however I am here today because of the treatment and support that I received! I am forever grateful for Dr. Smith! I have many doctors, nurses, family, and friends that I am so thankful for but based on the details I've been told of concerning the accident I can safely say that this man saved my life! You couldn’t ask for a better practice. From check in to check out, I can’t say I have ever been more impressed by a doctors office. Dr. Adamson went over and explained in layman’s terms what I was facing and what the treatment would be. I was impressed with his demeanor and ability to carry on a conversation about my issues. Never once was he anything but caring and attentive.
