We have been going here for years. Everyone is so friendly and they always talk to me, educate me and give me options for treatments. I Love Love Love Dr Adams! My three dogs love her more…
I cannot recommend Dr. Ritzman enough! She and her staff provided comprehensive and empathetic care for my hedgehog Omar. I felt confident about her treatment recommendations and appreciated that she answered all of my many questions. I felt very supported as I made care decisions for a beloved family member.
They were prompt at my appt time and have the specialty to care for my bearded dragon. They were patient with my questions and I felt they really care about the animals they look after.
Truly confused by this place, claim they’re best in class but can’t deal with energetic animals. They muzzled my five month old puppy because he was “growling” when getting shots… mind you they never mentioned to me that they muzzled him, I only found out upon obtaining his records which was extremely heartbreaking. If you care about your babies do not bring them here. These people do not care about pets whatsoever. Edit to respond to their message. - strange that you’re saying my dog was aggressive. When on his chart is specifies “ History of aggression toward people/animals? No” and then the notes stating “pet did better this time”. The first note about his behavior was “We discussed handling and training, pet growled a bit after the temperature and was a little resistant on light restraint.“ so unsure how all of this equals to aggression. This was the same appointment where we weren’t greeted and the vet shoved a clipboard in my dogs face, never said a word to him and then told him not to bark in the exam room because “it echos in here” I tried to base this review off of my pets experience and keep my personal feelings out of it. The staff is not friendly and quite rude, at our last appointment when my dog was muzzled we weren’t greeted by the receptionist, she simply looked at us and said “I’ll tell them you’re here”. Hello to you too! When the vet came out she did not say a word to me, my husband, nor greeted her patient - my dog. My dog continued to bark because there is now someone standing in front of him with a clipboard in his face once my dog started barking she shoved the board in his face to try and get him to stop I guess? after she watched him bark for a little, she told my husband and I “let’s go” she took us back to the exam room, still without greeting me or my dog and continued to complain about his barking. She threw handfuls of treats at him to get him to stop, girly pop just say hi to him and pet him! The entire time he was back there he was crying, while being told to “stop it” in a nasty voice. No wonder my dog doesn’t like y’all, you people are awful . Needless to say my “overly aggressive” 14 pound miniature schnauzer found a vet that is patient and knows how to deal with dogs that are nervous, scared and energetic! Additionally, the groomer that has been with us since we brought our little sushi home understand the schnauzer breed and is completely patient with him as well, he hops into the mobile van with no problem. Everyone we’ve spoken to about this vet has agreed that they just didn’t want to deal with our pet, they just simply wanted our money. My advice to this clinic - take some customer service classes! Another note - they emailed me saying our new vet requested their records. I released my dogs records to our new vet and asked to confirm they were sent over. I received a “we don’t have an email for them”, I said I don’t either you guys were the one that contacted me but I sent a fax number and I received a “we don’t have a fax machine” email back. What’s the point of even asking for one then?! Overall - stay away.
I would give this place zero stars if that was an option. They do not care about an animal suffering. I have an asian small clawed otter who’s skin is crawling for some reason and she’s miserable. The vets here won’t see her because they say she’s illegal to own when in fact that’s not true. After I told them she is legal to own and all the exotic paperwork has been filed with the authorities and she’s suffering they still said No! Truly evil people if you ask me. If they are not qualified to treat exotic animals they should remove exotic services under their qualifications. However based on the way they responded I got the impression they can treat an otter but choose not to because they don’t think people should have one as a pet. Our otter swims in a 35k gallon pool and receives all her healthcare needs because she is our family. She has a regular vet in town but our regular vet was out of the office today and our otter was suffering so we tried calling this company out of desperation to help a suffering animal. They instead referred me to drive a suffering animal 3 hours to Raleigh. Vets with such little compassion for a suffering animal should not be vets. Its no surprise other bad reviews mention their lack of compassion.
My first impression was that I didn't get a warm feeling from any of the staff when I took my dog in. I was left in the room for long periods of time without any communication or direction on what they were doing- it took so long that I stuck my head out to see if we were done or if they were coming back or if they forgot about us. When I asked, they acted annoyed and bothered. I was told my dog's coughing/hacking was a heart issue and that the only thing we could do is get more tests done for his heart. I went to a different vet clinic months later after moving back to Colorado and they ran blood work and determined his heart was fine but that the coughing/hacking was from a trachea collapse. Thank goodness for this correct info because it needs to be treated with medication. I would not recommend this vet on any level.
I’d give it 0 stars if I could. They are not patient with your pet. They want you in and out. There’s a multiple things in my pets records that were NEVER said or discussed to me. The vet tech was very nasty towards my pet, her attitude gave off more fast food worker than someone to care for my animal. I do not recommend taking your loved family member here. Owner- do not reply back to me we do not need to discuss this further.
I’ve been taking my cat to Carolinas Veterinary Care Clinic for a little over the year. The staff has always been super nice and Dr. Adams has been so helpful with working to regulate my cat’s diabetes.
I have a 3 year old Maltese puppy. He gets a little anxious. Dr. Fennel and staff have been amazing with him. I highly recommend Carolina veterinary care clinic. They definitely go above and beyond. We also have Brody groomed by Amanda. Amanda does a fantastic job with him.
