I had my birthday lunch here and it was absolutely fabulous! The staff was kind, cordial, and friendly through out the entire service. The actual food and drinks were amazing. If you are looking for authentic home made Mexican food that makes you reminiscence family cooking, this is the place. I also really enjoyed the bean dip. As well as the assortment of salsas they had to choose from. The coziness and delicious cooking makes it a 10/10 and I would highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our visit. We sat on the patio that is located closest to the street. The entrance is the other side of the building. We walked to the restaurant and made the mistake of entering the restaurant through the door on the patio. The friendly staff told us of our error, but did not make a big deal of it. They sat us quickly and helped us decide what to drink. Then, they suggested we visit the salsa bar. They have a good selection, but I wish there was descriptions and heat levels for each salsa. Another small wish was that the cups were a bit larger and maybe not use plastic. I look forward to exploring their other drinks and dishes.
The service was phenomenal, the steak burrito was perfection. Seared steak so the outer layer was crisp but the inside was soft. Also felt like a full NY steak strip in the burrito. The Sangria is also amazing. Highly recommend the sangrias. It’s a strange layout however the food was absolutely some of the best Mexican food in The Valley.
The food was good and had lots of flavor. The beverages were also very delicious. I would recommend this place for anyone who wanted to go to nice Mexican restaurant, the inside is very nice for something a little more formal than casual. But not super fancy either.
Incredible menu selection that delivers on flavor in a big way. The service was top notch. I questioned what an item was and before I knew it, our server brought a sample for me to try. Overall wonderful experience with an old world atmosphere. Parking: The lot is small and shared with a venue. If you aren't there early or if an event is going on, parking can be scare and the spots are tight for large vehicles.
Excellent little restaurant. They have a great little salsa bar. There was 10 or so different kinds of salsa. The drinks were great. The food was amazing. We made it on happy hour, bonus!Dine in: Yes
This place is consistent and never disappoints! They have an amazing salsa bar and a nice variety of delicious, authentic menu options. Super charming inside with a very friendly waitstaff. We make the half hour drive to dine here as it's our favorite Mexican restaurant. I wish they would open up a location in Scottsdale. It's no surprise that this tucked away gem has been featured as the "Valley's Best" - buen provecho!
Absolutely love this place. Met Xavier the owner. The salsa bar was bomb! Hibiscus salsa so very tasty. I'm glad we found this gem. We had a flight of margaritas: mango, strawberry and jalapeño pineapple. They might just have the best margaritas in town too. Chilaquiles, green with chicken were very flavorful. My friend had a burrito. The salsa all 16 of them had their own distinct flavor and heat levels. Yes try this place!
What a lovely little treasure. We just happened to be driving near by and wanted to try something new. With such lovely weather we truly enjoyed sitting outside on the lit patio. The indoor/outdoor bar was a nice touch that served such delicious drinks. Our entries were delightfully enticing with the best chips and bean appetizers. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.
Visiting Phoenix again, at first I wasn't keen on getting Mexican food this visit, it's far too many, 3 on every corner, couldn't possibly make a sound decision. Last minute decision, get Mexican, decided weren't going to pick up and go, we were going to sit down as a family and enjoy, the rave reviews said we would. We DID! Oh my word, I didn't dislike anything about this visit. We were greeted by a friendly face, seated immediately and promptly served beans and tortillas, a nice change from just salsa. I knew I didn't want anything heavy so I opted for a couple tacos. My server let me know that it was 15 minutes left in happy hour and she went and grabbed me a menu. I had carne asada and a shredded beef taco along with a $5 margarita. Great flavor! Son has a Sonara burrito, it has asada sirloin with guacamole rice, vheese and pico, oh my word it was amazing, as was the flautas. My minor has shrimp and fries, go figure, it came with rice and fries. Everyone was perfectly happy.
