I joined this gym because it has different groups of exercises, personally I have attended Zumba and Cardio Blast with Nicole, excellent localized exercises and super fun! My body has been changing in six weeks and the best thing is that I feel more active at 58 years old, much better than 10 years ago!
Zero regrets! Large facility that never gets too crowded. Great assortment of free weights and machines plus a huge cardio room. The facility itself might be a little dated, but they do an incredible job at keeping everything clean. On all my visits so far there has always been a staff member going around to each and every piece of weight lifting and cardio equipment wiping everything down. Other gyms I’ve been too have machines that look like they haven’t been cleaned in decades. If I could change one thing about the facility, it’d be the outdated overhead fluorescent tubes. They’ve got a bunch of different color temperature bulbs, and it’d be nice to see them switched out with bright white led tubes. The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful, and seem to really enjoy working there, so props to management for creating a positive work environment and culture. They even remembered my name as I was leaving the gym after my very first visit! I feel way better about spending my money at a locally owned gym that doesn’t give the hard-sell or treat membership like a magazine subscription.
I have been attending this gym for about a year and I am very sad it will be closing in January 2023. All of the staff have been so friendly and welcoming during my time here. The atmosphere has always been warm, and it truly felt like people of all levels of fitness were welcome. The neighborhood will be losing out on an approachable community gym.
I've been a member off and on for 25 years. It's a shame that it is closing. I love the atmosphere, and mature members...NO load music blaring, no young people monopolizing equipment while looking at their phones. I love it there. SORRY TO SEE IT GO!
Recently moved to the neighborhood. This place is amazing! Friendly attentive staff. Tons of space. There's almost always a machine free. Low key. Not intimidating. Dress code keeps things modist. Group classes available. Pool, sauna, hot tub. GREAT!
i love this gym. it's never very crowded and there's a ton of different ways you can practice fitness without getting bored. my only gripe is the hours. i wish they stayed open a little later for people who work late/overnight. i understand it's probably hard to schedule for that, but it'd be nice edit: also! wish i would get a reminder when my annual fee is due :p also!!! i've been seeing a lot of videos of people recording others at the gym and posting them online to make fun of them, but nobody ever really has their phone out unless they're changing their song. i feel really, really safe here, even as a trans masculine person. obviously i don't speak for all trans people, but they employ mostly young people so they pretty much don't care, and the people who come to the gym are really serious about their workouts and aren't goofing off and they pretty much just mind their own business. i love this place. couldn't ask for a better gym
Great gym, nice facilities, not too crowded, friendly helpful staff, nice pool and steam room, my three year old daughter has a blast in the childcare area she often asks me if she can go “to the gym” the staff Sarah and Felicia are so good with her. They also offer a complimentary training session in which I recently got some good advice from Allen who is very knowledgeable and helped me to reevaluate my routine and dietary needs. It’s a little spendier than the corporate gyms but very worth the price for what you get.
I love the club the trainers there helped me lose 45 pounds and get into the best shape of my life. I also take the Tribe Fit For Life class which is awesome cardio and "Low Impact Functional Exercise".
These clubs have many cool features that other clubs do not. It depends on the location, but some things they have include tennis courts, racket ball courts, outdoor pools, swim suit spinners and other normal things like classes.
