Cascade Family Practice

Dr. Erickson has been my physician for over 15 years now. He has helped me through some very difficult times, traumatic injuries, etc. I can say how much I appreciated him speaking to my care team while I was hospitalized. He worked with the team to figure out how to best manage the problems I was having while being an in-patient hospital patient for over a month and a half! I trust him and his abilities to make medical suggestions for me to understand and help better any situation that now may happen. The staff is also great! Especially Grace! She is the cutest, funniest Phys assistant with the best bedside manner any patient would want!

I had one of the most disheartening experiences calling this clinic to schedule an appointment. This clinic has one of the most unprofessional medical office staff I have ever encountered. * To clarify- I inquired about same day appointment availability, as this practice was a recommended option from my insurance company. When the office staff asked why I needed an appointment, I stated for a physical exam and a refill on a routine medication. The person quickly asked for what medication, I responded, she then said we don’t do that an hung up. First - she wasn’t professional, second- it was clear she does not have any medical knowledge or training to assess medications or their intended use, and third this was in unethical question in the first place. When I called back to discuss this matter with a supervisor I was denied this opportunity, told they were handling electronic issues, and then again hung up on. I have never written such a post, but this practice needs to be aware of their front staff and their lack of ethical practices and treatment of possible future clients. Hope this posts helps them grow and learn from very unethical communication style from their office team.

I'm so happy that I found this practice within weeks of moving to the Portland metro area. Everyone here is incredibly kind and empathetic. Appointments aren't a hassle and you're never, ever rushed. Even when you make an appointment with Julie, Dr. Erickson's PA who is absolutely the best I've ever seen EVER, if she feels the doctor needs to come in, she doesn't hesitate to call him into the examination room. In the short time that we've been here, our family has experienced two major medical issues. They've taken care of my family members' post-hospital aftercare, and I absolutely trust everyone in this practice. Cascade Family Practice is now taking care of and overseeing my whole family's medical care.

Dr Erickson himself is a very good Dr. I've always been satisfied with his work and judgment. Be careful if you miss your appointment, the secretary will make you suffer and wait a week as punishment until you can see him again. They always have appointments open daily unless you piss them off. Time to find a new DR!!!

I found Julie Leffler last year after deciding I needed a switch. Julie was a great find. She always goes over and beyond of all expectations I have ever wished for in a doctor. Ever visit she takes the time to solve what ever health issue I’m having. In a world where time is so valuable it is well appreciated to feel she is focusing on my needs which makes all the difference in healing. I am glad I decided to make a change in doctor care and have found her.

I cannot thank Dr. Erickson and his staff enough for their help over the past few years. Dr. Erickson has always been patient and understanding, with his help I was able to make progress on a problem that has been effecting me for over 20 years. His staff is always friendly and very helpful, the level of customer service I’ve experienced there has been superior. Cascade Family Practice is the kind of place where you feel like family, and I couldn’t be more grateful for being included. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would. Thank you for all your help!

When my local physician, also a DO relocated I searched for a new one and found Dr Erickson. Although it's a 30 minute drive to reach his office under ideal driving conditions I prefer a doctor of osteopathy. I have had two annual physicals here, both done by students that just asked questions. I did have blood taken and lab work done. I Would have appreciated that my original exam been a one on one with the Doctor that would have included a check on my spine and posture, although I think it's great that the students get an opportunity to interact with patients, I think a first appointment with a new Dr should have been more personal. My review would be higher except for that and the fact that when I called in to talk to the doctor about not sleeping, I called twice, a month between calls, I was told I needed to make a new appointment. No option to speak with the Dr or a RN. Since then the Dr has called me and I am hoping I can add another star or two after this years physical. I have gone to Dr. Erickson for over 20yrs. He has been my Rock in ALL healthcare worries, monthly maintenance with my Meds., And someone That I truly trust with my personal Health and Well being. Bruni And the rest of the staff and all the Students that Have I’m sure long since become Dr.s themselves have had the best mentor possible. :! Thanks Dr.E for so many years of taking the best care of me that anyone can:! Your truly appreciated and Thanked. It will be near impossible to find another Dr. if you ever wish to retire.:!

Dr. E is kind and compassionate. He never makes me feel stupid for asking "stupid questions" and he seems to truly care about me as a whole human, mind body and spirit. He takes time to follow up on things that seem trivial to me. I enjoy the perspectives of his students as each one brings a different approach and different ideas. They are an extension of Dr. E however. I'm glad I found a caring doctor with caring staff.

I left the office even before the doctor arrived to see me. I felt that the facilities were outdated and not clean. I was annoyed that I spent time answering questions on the electronic device during check-in and then the nurse asked me the questions again because their systems don't communicate. She seemed to have some difficulty getting my answers input correctly. She asked me several questions over again and then she didn't seem too concerned to get it right. While waiting for the doctor, I because quite anxious about the lack of cleanliness in the exam room and decided that I did not want to establish care at this facility.
