Me and my partner often visit this store, and we love it there. It's a fantastic spot with an old-world charm. If you know what you're looking for— I have found many a collectors' pieces at ridiculously low prices. The staff is helpful and kind, and are genuinely informed and invested in the products and customers.
Wow. I’ve spent well over 500 here in the past year, but I will never be back. I’ve always gotten a bad vibe from 2 of the female staff members the older male staff members have always been polite, informative, and non condescending. Most of the time I was simply just overhearing petty and cruel gossip, or feeling their eyes on me as I wandered through the store. My final straw was an interaction with Penelope. I asked to see a sweater behind the counter and she replied with “Just so you know it’s an extra small. For reference, I can fit it” and then pointed to her body. I said cool well I’d still like to see it. As I was examining it she asked if I was looking for the size. I said no I’m looking for the components. While this could be perceived as innocent on paper, her demeanor was condescending, shaming, and cocky.
Beautiful well organized store. But the staff lacks manners and decent decorum. The only words that comes to mind is snobbish and condescending which isn’t cool when running a place of business, especially a Christian based one. My husband who is super chill and the first to give another the benefit of the doubt said that he felt unwelcome and wouldn’t come back. Based on the reviews, I’m not the only who feels this way. Do better.
wish I could give no zeros. Went here to find a replacement printer for my office . My elderly mother was with me. As soon as we pulled in the parking lot the workers just looked at us as if we were not human and didn't say a word. I didn't want to be intimidated so i still went in. Both workers went to the other side of the store to ignore us. I left after the rude treatment and seeing how they pretty much had lots of over priced garbage. My mother was worried because this is how people use to treat people who look like us in the past. its a shame too , i like supporting local businesses and always wanted to go here. Bright side is , i found what i was looking for at goodwill. :
While this store has high-quality items and is well organized, I would not return based on the staff interactions I witnessed. A person experiencing homelessness entered the store requesting some clean clothes. The woman behind the counter shouted at him and told him that he could not wander in the store. Though someone eventually gave him clothes, the way in which the woman treated him was childlike, rude, and unchristian. The store seems to cater to an older crowd and has high quality clothing items ex. talbots, orvis, etc. but many items are priced much more than they are worth. I'll take my business to other thrift stores unfortunately.
Favorite store in Atlanta- Thrift or not. Volunteer staff is lovely. The store is curated. If you want a junk shop, this isn't it. They raise money for their charities and also donate goods that don't fit their plan to other nearby thrift stores - nothing goes to waste! Such a great place!
Wish I could leave negative stars. The rudest people on the planet work at this store. Prices are outrageous too. This place should close down and to be honest I wish it would. The lady at the register was a completely over the top rude and has no business in customer service. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE
We stumbled on this while on our way to a Goodwill store down the street. We were greeted by the sweetest ladies working in the store. Everything was so clean and well organized . It reminded me of the nice estate sales we have back home in Mississippi. I saw many designer clothes at great prices. I picked up several vintage cake stands that one of the ladies who worked there had previously donated. I also found a long silk tapestry pillow for $30! This pillow was worth $$$! The ladies were so helpful and wrapped everything so well for our trip back home. She even helped us to the car with our purchases. We are looking forward to shopping with you again when we go back to Atlanta.
I’ve driven by this place many times and was never able to stop by when they were open. Finally one day before the COVID lock down I was able to stop by during their normal business hours. I was overwhelmed and delighted with their antique book collection. Love love love their book collection. The most friendliest people I’ve ever met. Now I’m a repeat customer.
I love this thrift shop! It's clean and well-stocked, and I always leave with something. This is my favorite place to shop for used books in Atlanta, outside of library sales. We've also bought puzzles, magazines, and mint julep cups. Over the years, I've even found high-end pieces a Theory skirt, a cashmere-blend sweater, Ermenegildo Zegna pants at fractions of the original prices. Absolutely worth the trip.
