Dr. Lakin is great all around. It seems the people who have the problems with C.F.C. have a bigger issue with accountability and are not yet ready to get clean. And the "office lady" Kari, has zero idea what it is like to be an addict. She acts like she is the end all be all in the treatment world. Dr. Lakin should do himself and his clients a huge favor by letting her go. It's not her clinic as she thinks it is. She is doing more damage than good. Her skills would be put to better use in emptying colostomy bags. She has ZERO PEOPLE SKILLS, Anyone who had dealt with her will tell You the same. Kari, it's time for you to move one before you kill someone.

This place is One Step up better than WTC. The counselor I had to not explain their policies. They require to observed UA 2x year regardless of your phase. I have a medical condition that prevents me from giving urine and they would not recognize it even after my doctor spoke with them . I felt treated as if I were a criminal. Methadone can be used as a great tool if you are ready to become clean.

Dr Lakin is a kind and compassionate doctor. He is one of the best doctors I have met. Remember being a patient is a privilege. The medication alone will only cover issues that need to be addressed. Use the medication as tool in conjunction with counseling, meetings, sponsor, and spirituality. The counselors are good and will support you. The rest is up to you. If you put the work in you will succeed

Horrible place! I have been to several clinics an this is by far the worst i have nothing positive to say. They treat you like a child or like they're your parole officer. They do not care about your recovery. I understand methadone clincs have state and federal rules they must follow but they go way beyond those to be punitive. If u have a relapse they will cut your dose an threaten you with discharge. What does lowering ur dose suddenly or kickin u out of treatment do?....duh it makes the client use....the exact opposite of the goal of treatment. The employees belittle and condescend to patients constantly, lines are long, they tell you they come before your job, and they are only in it for the money. So bad they once went as far as refuse to replace soap in the restroom that had come up missing lol...cant afford hand soap? They wait until ur to the dosing window to check you in, take your money, and tell you have to see your counselor. They even wait till ur ready to be dosed to tell you your on a thing called a stop dose. A stop dose happens all the time here for such mundane reasons its so stupid an a waste of time. Any clinic worth their salt checks you in, takes your money, and tells you if u need to see your counselor BEFORE you get in line to medicate. Oh ya Dr. Larkin is a Republican who recently ran for office.... think about that is that really who you want running the medical center you go to for treatment? In conclusion save you self a whole lot of headaches and wasted time and go to Metro. They care about your recovery, dont waste your time, dont punish you like a child, no decreased doses for 1 dirty ua for benzos or alcohol-cfc drops u 10mg EVERYTIME u test positive for benzos or alcohol which makes u sick and forces u to use-they check you in b4 u get in line to dose, and no stupid groups u have to miss work for. Center for change makes you go to group meetings that they only do during the day because there scared of their patients at night lol. DONT GO TO CENTER FOR CHANGE they ruined my life cut my dose even with a dr note for benzos and false positives for alcohol from being diabetic which made me go into severe withdrawls and nearly lose my job. If u care about getting well avoid cfc PLEASE ur better off continuing to use ITS THAT BAD!!!

This place is a joke. Hardly any of the counselors are addicts themselves. They expect you to bow to their every need and do whatever they say on their schedule or they will turn you away from your medicine. If your still struggling with addiction and have a few dirty drug screens they just threaten to kick you out or do kick you out. They don't want to work with you at all. They could care less about your job or personal life. If you politely ask them not to put you on stops on certain days where time is extra sensitive they will do it on purpose. The manager Heidi is a joke who let the power go to her head and has a big stick up her ass all the time. And the new counselors there are trying to change the world instead of help out a drug addict in need. God forbid you have any medical issues they will make you schedule appointments and bring every scrap of paperwork in for them to see and if you don't they will either threaten to kick you out, kick you out, or not let you get your medicine. They have the most clients out of any methadone clinic in Wichita but that does not mean they like their job. Each counselor has an average of 60 patients. How the hell can a counselor offer real help when they have 60 other patients they have to worry about trying to help so they do the bare minimum. There is a couple nice and good counselors. Barb was always really nice and helpful and is a good counselor. So is Rachel. If you do decide to go there ask for one of those counselors. Whatever you do don't ask for Judy. She will make your life a living hell.
