I’m not sure what happen with this preschool but it has gone downhill. We enrolled our son July of 2021 by September of that same year they had cut out their meal program. Ok, no big deal we will pack a lunch and snacks and they reduced the tuition. They stated it was because of Covid and lack of staffing. The director of the preschool left in January because she probably knew they were going to close. The preschool sent home a letter and it said they were closing permanently in 2 weeks. Within that two weeks they messaged all parents stating that they had no afternoon help and would be closing early, giving parents 30 MINUTES to come pick up their children. To send out a message like that in the middle of the day was unacceptable. I would never take my son back here. The lack of curriculum and communication from the teachers is just a start.
My oldest son went here several years ago for before and after school care while he was attending kindergarten. They help to reinforce everything that he was learning in school at that time, and some. Now my youngest attends and he has been since he was 2 1/2 years old. He is three now and is already writing his name and beginning to read. He loves his teacher, and Mrs. Judy. The staff loves the kids as if they were their own. Their heart for teaching and children really shows in their interaction with the kids. I like that my son gets fed a variety of food throughout the week, and he has a structured routine. I like that he has time to play and burn off energy as well as time to sit down and learn. I also appreciate that he is learning about the Bible and Jesus Christ. I highly recommend Centerville Preschool Academy and wouldn't take my son anywhere else. I am going to keep him there as long as I can because he too loves the school and the staff.
I love these ladies. My son goes here and I plan on sending my daughter when she is old enough. They teach the children Bible verses, letters shapes and writing. They go up to kindergarten. I wish they went higher. God bless CPA.
If I could give this place a lower stared review I would. At first impression this kindercare looked like the picture perfect establishment. However, that is not the case. Director will not take any constructive criticism about her place. And will blame anything on you as the parent instead of taking the issues to heart and trying to correct them. This place is listed as a secure building however to a certain extent it is not. If your child wants to walk right out the door he/she can. The doors going out to the parking lot are unlocked. But in order to enter the building you need a key or to be buzzed in. Also the staff do not interact with the kids. Most of the time they are on their phone facebooking/instagraming/snapchatting doing whatever they are doing but not watching the kids to their full extent. Real "safe" place for you kid to be at right. Wrong. Highly recommend searching for a different daycare for your child if you love them.
This place is amazing! The reviewer that gave this place one star likely gives every place he visits a bad review. My experience with this place has been always amazing! My daughter went her for 3 years and after a move to Chesapeake we had to find new child care. Nothing compared to CPA. My daughter is now coming back after a 2 year gap and is super excited and happy again to see the staff and a lot of her friends. Strongly recommend this place!
This an amazing place with staff that love these kids. They are amazing teachers my daughter learned so much here!! You will not be disappointed.
