If you live anywhere in the vicinity of downtown phoenix then switch to this vet immediately. Dr. Ruiz is absolutely amazing along with everyone she has working along side her. She is not one to lie to you and have you spend a lot of money unnecessarily. She is honest and truly just wants what is best for your animal. Amazing vet!

Had my kitten neutered here. I was kept informed on how he was doing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable! Will be going back next time I need a vet for one of my pets.

Hands down the best vet I have ever been to as a lifetime pet owner. They are quick, take time to answer any and all questions, and have great hours for working adults. They understand financial commitments and will work with you on getting the best quality care for an affordable price as well as work with you to find the most affordable way to get medications for your pet. Paula is especially wonderful and a pleasure to work with. I recommend this vet to everyone and anyone- you can't beat the care anywhere you go.

I have been going to Central Phoenix Animal Hospital for over 20 years, Dr. Ruiz and her staff is like an extended family. My labs actually like going there for their maintenance care, they are caring, knowledgeable and efficient.

Three BIG dogs in our family. Their individual personalities are as BIG as they are big, right? meanwhile...Pop's personality is rather BIG, too! I arranged everything prior to our New Patient Intake exam and vaccination update first visit: Bathed Basquit at Wag'n'Wash. Nails clipped, gathered prior vet's notes and shot records. NATURALLY, I left the shot records at home during the house leaving with 1 dog only to leave the other 2 home raucous. You know the scene... Front desk was amazing with me! Our Vet Tech was amazing, too! I was distraught; they were accommodating. I know, right? Basquiat and I were cared for and treated. I suggest Dr. Ruiz change her clinic's name: "Central Phoenix Animal Family Hospital".

Have been taking the boys to see the good doctor for several years. Never have to wait. Staff always kind and understanding. Fair price. So glad a neighbor referred me.

We've used Dr. Ruiz' veterinarian services since she bought the practice 30+? years ago. 'Nuf said. As others have written, she doesn't try to get into you for a lot of extras, and gives it to you straight. Kudos to Paula for being efficient and friendly and for her community service work.

Dr. Ruiz is the best in the Valley. She is experienced and knows exactly what to do. When we adopt animals, the shelters set us up for other veterinarians, but we always go back to Dr. Ruiz.

Called in to see if they can get shots and made me wait 20 minutes on the phone just to tell me they're not taking new clients.. maybe lead with that? Either way front desk lady was incredibly rude I'm glad they're not taking anyone new
