Popped in quickly out of curiosity and they had EXACTLY the rod and reel I've been eyeballing for weeks online. Prices were more than fair, and the selection is pretty good. Guy seemed to know what he was talking about too. Will definitely go back when I'm in town, but for now I'm off to Belize with my new Daiwa rod and reel combo
Being a local fisherman I can't say I feel welcome in every tackle shop I go to, but this place makes you feel more than welcome. They aren't to busy to talk fish trends or share recipes. I'm DEFINITELY making this my recommendation for ALL fishermen and fisherwomen in the area.
If you shoot any type of archery stop in here and talk to the guys here if you need something for your bow or a new bow. Whatever you need the guys are super knowledgeable and helpful and great care of their customers. Will always return to this shop.
Attentive service. Sammy goes the extra mile to help
This is great sporting goods store for fishing and hunting supplies and in particular bow hunting. These are the friendliest folks. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Gave me great advice and help. Wish they had a little larger stock at times but i always go there first.
I've only gone in Chag's for fishing equipment. They have a decent selection of fishing stuff. They carry most of the standard stuff as well as a few things that you may not find any where else. Overall, the staff is nice and come to you and ask if you need help finding anything. The younger guy can get a little defensive. When I commented about a lure taking a while to come in city wide his reply was "Well, I don't make them." Prices are fair and pretty close to the big department store prices. I try to go there when I can.
I am trying to get into archery for the first time. I went in with my son and Corey patiently answered all of my questions, showed me a few bows, and pointed out a few things that I didn't know to look for. He was even accommodating to my curious 5-year-old. I can't wait to go back and buy my first bow from them.
My son and I went there in 2013. I started going in 1999 but my son had nothing to do so I took him for the first time. We met this guy named Rich who was a part-time employee. My son looked interested enough to shoot his daughters Bow and arrow. After his first shot, he was in love. He found his true love . Later that week, I bought him a $630 bow. Ever since we've been going to Chag's twice a week meeting with the counter-worker Mr. Sammy.
The prices are better than big box stores and the people are very friendly, courteous and know their fishing. Also, when purchasing from them you contribute to the local economy not Wall Street.
I just bought a Hoyt Torrex XT from Sammy. The entire experience was great from start to finish. I will be coming back for my archery need from now on. Thanks again guys.
