All the food was top class. The cooking was clean, and the flavors fresh. The soup dumplings were the most flavorful I've had, even the bottoms came off. The Dan Dan noodles had a nice spicy kick. The portions are generous. The staff is friendly, and the food came out quickly.
Had an assortment of meat and veggies in the spicy dry pot. Ordered medium spice and was pretty good for us - right amount of kick. Meats were great and we loved the little sausages. We would definitely eat here again or do take out. We ordered about 9 items in the dry pot and it was definitely enough for 3 people.
Not sure why reviews are poor. Like the other comments, everything was really good, spicy, with a reasonable price! It definitely should be a 4.6! Lunch special is also great
The house special fried rice was great! We also like the steamed pork belly however I do prefer it to be fattier so it melts in your mouth more. Great interior decor too!
Delicious and very authentic Chinese Xiang style food! Servers were really nice and friendly. Food was served really fast and in good size. Will visit more often.
I enjoyed my lunch, actually i ordered a dinner dish - chilly beef with rice. It was delicious: juicy slices of beef goth chilli pepper stripes - for people who enjoy spicy food. The serving lady was really nice and polite, recommended on menu choice and explained me the pictures on the wall
Ordered fried rice, orange chicken, chow mein & spring rolls. The orange chicken was the only item that had any flavor whatsoever. Chow mein had zero flavor or sauce basically just boiled noodles. Rice and spring rolls were also extremely bland. No sauces of any kind were provided. Probably the worst Chinese food experience I’ve had.
The food is amazing. Lot’s of choices for both traditional and American Chinese dishes. LIC needed a restaurant like this. The place is very nicely decorated. I went during opening week, so the service was a little slow. But I sure that it will get better once they get the hang of things. Update: After having gone here a few times, I’ve noticed that the service has improved significantly. Definitely worth a visit if you want some good food.
Order arrived quickly but had charged me for two portions of spare ribs when I only ordered one. I tried calling back and no one answered. I would not recommended though their sesame chicken was good.
The ambiance is super nice, love the beautiful tree in the middle of the restaurant. The menu is very big, even with an “American” section. However, you should come here for the dim sum. We were told we had to wait 25 minutes because there were so many people ordering them, and we had to pass, since we were in a hurry. But i saw them at other table and everyone seemed to be pleased: we will catch up next time. We tried their veggie fried rice and a minced pork and eggplant dish. A bit spicy and not a lot of pork, but overall delish. We also had sticky rice filled with black sesame for dessert and it was awesome. They still not have liquor license, I believe, as only soft drinks were served. All in all, great addition on Vernon.
