Chapel In the Hills

Love this little chapel & history that goes with it. Services there are short but pack a great message & the music is great, it takes you back to your childhood with your family & friends attending services. The atmosphere is authentic, quaint, & very casual at the same time.

Absolutely gorgeous and a definite must-see. Religious or not, this architectural wonder is beautiful and has a fascinating history. Knowledgable host and very welcoming!

A nice wooden church. Worth the visit? If you like wooden buildings maybe... The garden is nice and the staff is very friendly.

The guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The whole family had fun looking around the church, going on the prayer hike, and poking around the museum and gift shop. The gift shop was very reasonably priced so we bought a tshirt and some christmas ornaments, which was refreshing coming from many other tourist attractions in SD. I would recommend this to anyone interested in old Scandinavian culture and history, and those who enjoy peaceful places. We brought our four-year old who loved it, but word of caution that some young oned may find it boring and the museum a bit scary. Our kiddo is an old soul who loved it though.
