Absolutely gorgeous! The artwork inside is breathtaking. The surrounding mountains make everything even more amazing. If you come here please still remember to be respectful to the chapel and area itself and others there. This is the most beautiful chapel I have ever been in.

Chapel of the Holy cross was giving off the spiritual ambience.
A peaceful and holy place to look at the beautiful view from the top of the hills.
You will be inspired by nature and feel the spirituality all around you.
The chapel is modern and a little bit small, but the color matches with the blue sky.
Don't worry about going up the hill because the staff pick you up in golf carts.
But don't forget to tip them.

Wheelchair accessible! Small location, lots of people, nice views from one side of the chapel, city views from the other. Backdrop to the chapel are intense red rock formations. A sloped walkway curves up around the chapel from the preferred parking area. I personally prefer wilderness views, but the city-folk I was with weren't walkers, so this was a nice short visit and walk for them (about 100-200 ft). I recommend passing the first gates that say you are entering the chapels grounds, and then drive as far as you can up the drive (circles left) until you actually see the chapel. You will likely find better parking up there than just inside the gates.

Beautiful place but park at the top if you can. Go through the gates and keep going until you get close to top. The hill takes a toll if you have respiratory issues. The grade is about 35 to 40%. There IS a turn around at the top of the hill too, I would use, because the road is narrow and you would need to make three point turns and road is busy. No food or drink allowed in chapel. Nice gift shop below with kind, helpful staff. The views are stunning. Nice breeze....😊
