Benton’s is a proper locksmith shop - not just a hardware store with an automated key-duplicator. Yes, they are pricier than other options, but you are paying for the set of professional skills that they have amassed over many years. Think of it like the difference between a med-school intern and a seasoned heart surgeon: there’s a reason why the latter one costs more, and it is reflected in the quality of the results. Boston is a city with a lot of old and historic doors, locks, and architectural peculiarities. If you want someone who can service/repair/re-key/adjust some original fittings, rather than slapping on a cheapo Kwikset lock from Home Depot, I recommend Benton’s.
