Loved this festive outdoor Christmas Village. Only 5 bucks to enter and the decorations are beautiful. Plenty of vendors and such fun. We had a blast! Not overly crowded so you could really enjoy all the photo ops, food and fun!! So glad we came. Texas girls having a very Merry Christmas
We were passing through for a night on a road trip and this is the best Christmas village I have ever been to!! And sooo CHEAP! $10 entry. Drinks and food prices were affordable. Tons of souvenirs and hand crafted items. Millions of picture opportunities. Friendly staff and artisans. We will be back!
Drove from out of town to visit, underwhelming. Most food is concession food. There are a couple of private food vendors with fudge and strudel. Some vendors have nice gifts and speciality items, you can also buy gutters. Credit card only payment for anything operated by the Knights. The band was the best part of the event. Might be fun for local folks to visit, but don't drive from out of town for this.
I've been going to this Christmas market since its first year. It used to be a lot better, but it's gone down hill. It used to be at Romare Bearden Park and I think that's the when it was at its best. After that, it moved to a random parking lot and then most recently to BB&T Ballpark. The number of vendors has gone down significantly. They added a lights display last year which was kind of cool. They also started charging an entrance fee. I might go back if it goes back to being free, but I definitely don't think it's worth paying to get into.
I was visiting my aunt for Christmas n she brought me n my kids to this beautiful village, we had a very good time
I was highly disappointed. We went there at 5pm and they said everything was sold out even though they closed at 10pm. We still paid to go inside to check it out. The decorations looked like they were thrown together and the food and vendors were lackluster. Sadly, it was a waste of $10 per person. I’m just thankful I didn’t have to put much effort into traveling there since I live within walking distance.
Make sure your cell phone is charged. I purchased tickets via mobile then my phone died. So I walked over to the ticket booth and purchased a ticket hoping for a paper version… Nope they asked for my cell number to send me a link to the ticket. Two stars because it looked nice from the outside. Merry Christmas!
What a disappointment! If you're looking for a European style Christmas market this is NOT it. Very few booths, and even fewer that hint of anything from Europe. There are amazing light shows out there, but again, this is not one of them. Absolutely skip this.
Purchased tickets online , tickets were never sent to my phone. Had to wait in line to be told to go to box office. Box office immediately knew what my problem was , leading me to believe I wasn't the only one with this issue. Then had to wait in line again to get thru gate. Once inside , had to wait in line for tubing, got to front of line was told I needed to get into other line for tubing. Got in line for tubing and was told I needed an armband which should have been given to me in the first line. When I said something about this I was greeted with an attitude from staff. When I asked for supervisor I was told "I am the supervisor". When I told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor I was told " go find him , he is wearing a red shirt". When I found the supervisor he was wearing a blue shirt! Spoke with director who apologized and got me the armbands then promised to email me tickets to return another night , which I did not receive. Overall , I spent most of the night standing in line with 3 kids in order to go down the slide once and be given attitude by staff. Very unorganized, not enough activities for the number of people there. Will NEVER go back. Terrible experience.
It's small but a nice to have option in town. Live music on the weekends and multiple beer and wine options. The food options are limited...only a german food tent which was sold out of half its menu by 5pm, a candy store, and a popcorn/strudel tent. The strudel was good but the wait was disappointing. I wouldn't suggest making a visit to Uptown just to see this but worth stopping for a couple beers and live music if you are in the area for something else
