Charlotte Symphony

About

The Charlotte Symphony Chorus is composed of more than 140 volunteer singers and is the Official Chorus of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.

Story

The Charlotte Symphony Chorus (formerly Oratorio Singers of Charlotte) is composed of approximately 100 volunteer singers, many of whom hold graduate degrees in music. Membership is by audition only. The Main Chorus performs with the Charlotte Symphony several times per season in a variety of venues and also presents independent concerts. The smaller Chamber Singers, composed of approximately 30 singers, performs several independent concerts per season.

Mission

The Oratorio Singers of Charlotte, the official chorus of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, performs great classical choral literature to the highest professional standards. Through these efforts, we seek to foster appreciation of and support for choral music as an art form.
