Cheddar and Rye

Very cozy and chill place to enjoy some whiskey. The lighting is so warm its like walking into a pool of Scotch. The selection is varied and contains American, Scottish, and international. Sone bar stools, and couches available to hang out. Was very pleased with the experience and especially the bartender's attentiveness and explanations to the less knowledgeable in our group.

Terrific selection of whiskey, and great cocktails. Don't pass up one of the delicious grilled cheese sandwiches or the cheese plate if you want a lighter snack.

Fun hangout with great service, great food, and a huge selection of whiskeys by the glass or by flight. The grilled cheeses are wonderful, and the black sesame hummus is a great appetizer or snack plate.

This review is for the whiskey bar part of the business. Great atmosphere, good selection of whiskeys from around the world, and friendly/helpful bartenders. I will be going back here again

4 of us shared 4 different flights of whiskey’s from several countries. Amazing selection of choices. What fun! Then our sandwiches came and we were hooked on this place. The chef substituted coleslaw for the sauerkraut in my Ruben to make it a Rachael and it was as good as any NY Deli I’ve experienced in 25 years of working In Manhattan every day. Love this place!

As a whiskey lover, this place does not disappoint! Over 300 to choose from and amazing food that is absolutely delicious. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have great spirits, great food and a wonderful staff led by Charlie. A must visit for Manchester!

Cool whiskey bar with a nice quiet feel. A bit pricey, but you're paying for the experience.

The server / bartender was fantastic, drinks were good, food was very small in portions, appetizer size for full plate price. They do not cater to all with allergies or food preferences such as vegans like they did in the past so call ahead to check on options. The place was much better in the past, when we asked about this we were told it is under new ownership. Very expensive night out for what it was.

Cheddar and Rye was the spectacular venue for a private party recently. The ambiance is always great but the food and service put it over the top. The food service was timed perfectly and the food itself was outstanding. There was something for everyone, from vegetarian to the top-notch burger sliders. Can't say enough about the lobster grilled cheese and the pulled pork grilled cheese. The whiskey and bourbon selection is superior and bar staff highly knowledgeable. I highly recommend Cheddar and Rye.

I've enjoyed going here in the past, but seems like they are cracking under the pressure of a new and very busy bar on the same block. Received so much aggressive treatment from a 40+ year old dude bartender in capri shorts that my group felt uncomfortable and left, despite them being the least busy bar on or off elm. Try it while you can I guess because seems like they won't last much longer. Also witnessed a drunk driver slam backwards through a gate across the street one time so look out!
