Great Mac & Cheese - Mushroom Garlic is my favorite! Also - their burgers, are fantastic! Great karaoke bar - after 9pm.
Great place right across from the PSU dorms to do karaoke and hang out with friends. The food is decent for bar food and the specialty drink selection is pretty good.
Amazing experience. Came midday, not busy, bartender was super friendly. Good drinks. Great prices. Relaxed atmosphere... Will definitely be coming back again
The wings were good and the drinks were great. The bartender was amazing but the waitress wouldn't give me a shot of UV Blue but I'm pretty sure that was a good thing. Ps ask for the lavender drink
A cute little college bar with karaoke on Wednesdays and Saturdays I believe? Starts at 9pm I think. Don't bring your backpack, it's not allowed. Unless you're a student and have proof.
Great Vibe in the bar. Filled with all the PSU students and locals. Thursday’s are the best with the $1 Beer. The Karaoke is fun and lively from Thursday till Sunday with a cover of $5, but if you have a PSU ID you can enter without any cover fee. The fish bowl cocktails are $25 each and a great option if you are a group of people. They have a vast variety of beers on tap. And the food is great especially the tacos, nachos and regular bar food like the jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks and the burgers. Yet to try the wings and pizza. But be mindful as they get really busy during the weekends due to the crowds. Nevertheless a great college bar with lively and fun crowds
The food and drinks here are affordable and delicious, cheerful tortoise has been around for ages and they know what they're doing! Very laid-back atmosphere that caters to a college crowd, with staff that are friendly and knowledgeable.
Courteous & professional staff, inexpensive & delicious foods/snacks, clean & entertaining establishment... Plus, the Drinks are well prepared for those like myself whom need that liquid confidence to Karaoke
Amazing place for cheap eats in the heart of the PSU campus. I love going here in the happy hour, known as the cheerful hour here, for reasonably priced options for food and drinks. The daily specials are awesome, love the Tuesday deal of 3 dollar tacos and 3.50 dollar margaritas, although cheap they taste really good. The overall vibes are super chill, you can relax with friends and the best part for me is the option of all-day breakfast. No need to write more, super chill cheap dive bar ambiance, recommend to check it out if you are in the area. the draft beer selection is pretty varied and balanced as well.
They serve food until 2:30! Full menu people. They actually stay open until 2:30. That's right folks they go by the hours of operation they have advertised. Amen! Thank you Mr. Tortoise. You are the post COVID bar hero some of us need. Honestly, thank you. Why only 4 stars? The food is a little pricey. Although providing a full menu option at 2am can make it worth the price. Hell, Shari's doesn't even stay open until 2:30 anymore. The bar is clean, the bartenders and staff I've encountered are nice. It's a decent place to go to at 2:15 if you wanted to Back in my day all the bars as far as the eyes could reach were open until at least 2am! Boo. Shame on you fake hours of operation advertisers. Boo. Thanks again Mr. Tortoise for making my late night cheerful!
