We purchased a Harman Pellet stove from Chelsea Hearth and Fireplaces. The sales staff was very informative about all the products they sell. When they came to install our pellet stove they were very careful and professional when installing. We are very happy with our purchase from them. Great quality and service. If you are in the market for a Fireplace or Pellet stove I highly recommend Chelsea Hearth and Fireplaces.

Chelsea has two parts, the store selling everything hearth and the contractor doing installation and repair. My job was a repair, so I only worked with the contractor side. I can highly recommend Ron and his guys. They are great.
My project involved water leaking into my house through a poorly built, 23 year old chimney. Even before the job, Ron showed his expertise as both a contractor and a fireplace expert by explaining the likely problems and their cost. Once he opened up the chimney, we found the interior structure completely rotted. Ron came up with creative solutions both corrected the problem for the long term and kept costs down. Ron and his guys worked very hard and with high quality to repair my chimney and seal up my house. If you work with them, you can expect a high quality result.

Don't even know where to start: these people are so shamelessly over priced that it almost feels like a rude joke. A burner assembly that is available everywhere for $550 with ceramic logs costs $1,100 at CH&F. One of the techs they have is so uninitiated, un-resourceful and unwilling to do any work that I am struggling to recall an experience with any other contractor where such excruciatingly high levels of incompetence were shown.
Their visitation prices are off the charts to begin with and then getting them to do ANYTHING to your fireplace or even so much as touch it starts to rack up the price by the minute. This place is ridiculously expensive and incompetent. Look elsewhere for your fireplace chimney needs unless you have tons of money to throw down the toilet..

Quite disappointed. We were given an appointment for 8:00 am, but the tech showed up at 9:15 am, NO APOLOGY despite the inconvenience caused on a working day for me, did not introduce himself; explained options to service our old fireplace fairly well; They charge by the hour. When we asked for a quote to redo it with new equipment, he called his boss for a quote which took an additional 15 minutes, and he also charged us for that (down) time. Seriously doubt I’ll call them when I want to automate my fireplace. I did not get the value for the money I paid. I would not recommend them to a friend.
