Story

Chenkin Law Firm, P.C. was founded by Ira Chenkin in 1983. For almost 35 years, we've worked tirelessly to help Texans protect their rights, find justice and hold wrongdoers accountable.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Chenkin Law Firm provides its clients with personalized service. And while Ira Chenkin works independently with each client, he also retains access to the legal resources of the personal injury lawyers at William Kherkher. We start by listening to your story, asking the right questions and evaluating your claim. And after hearing your side, we’ll provide you with a concrete plan to approach your individual case. This initial consultation will cost you nothing is free from any obligation.

Investigating Your Case

If you choose Chenkin Law Firm as your representation, we’ll immediately begin a thorough investigation of your case. We’ll interview witnesses, examine physical evidence and follow every possible avenue on your behalf. This step is extremely important, and based on our findings, many of our clients have been surprised to learn that they were not at fault for their accident.

Pursuing Your Case

Once we’ve determined fault, we’ll craft a legal strategy for pursuing compensation and protecting your interests. IRA H. CHENKIN
Owner, Founder

Ira Chenkin was born in Brooklyn, New York in March 1952. After graduating cum laude from the University of Buffalo in 1973 and earning his law degree from South Texas School of Law in 1977.

Ira quickly began a successful career as a criminal defense lawyer under the guidance of Jim Tatum. Five years later, he founded Chenkin Law Firm in 1983. Today, Ira Chenkin is highly regarded as a state and federal trial lawyer.
