Cherokee Hills Painting have been serving the Birmingham area since 1986. For the third time, we have received one of the painting industry’s Highest Honors; 14th Annual Top Jobs Awards placed FIRST in our category and First runner-up to the grand prize, seventh place with an Honorable Mention in the 13th annual Top Jobs Awards for 2010, in 2004, we placed in the top twenty nationally. Our services include interior and exterior painting. We also pressure wash gutters, stain/waterseal decks, pressure wash driveways, waterproof basements, do carpentry and build decks.

For Exterior Painting there are several preparations to be made before the: “Paint is Applied”! First, Ben goes over the entire house to look for any areas of rotten wood or other problems that need to be addressed. Second, all of the shutters and storm windows are removed. The entire house is pressure washed using a mixture of household chemicals to remove mold, mildew and dirt. This also removes a large amount of loose paint. Third, hand sanders are used to sand all the areas of the house to remove the rest of the loose paint. This is also the time that any rotten wood is replaced as well.
At this point, the first coat of primer is applied to the bare wood. Then the body of the house is painted with two coats of Sherwin William's paint which has a mildewcide mixed in for future protection from mildew. The trim is also primed and painted at this time.
After all the painting is complete, the shutters and storm windows are reinstalled. The paint is safely removed from the window panes and windows are cleaned with Windex. The immediate and surrounding area is cleaned up as well.

For Interior Painting, the furniture is moved and covered, using clean drop cloths. We, also, do drywall repair and can install new crown molding, trim and doors. Two coats of Sherwin Williams paints are applied to ensure a long lasting finish.
