I though lt my procedure and scheduling went very well and was painless. After the procedure I was pleasantly surprised at the quick recovery time. Unfortunately my post op tests were adverse twice. The second time I had to wait a week to receive a call to be told to go to a lab 60 minutes away for a third test. When I asked how I could get a cup without driving 60 minutes the person said they didn’t know which seems impossible given this company has been in business forever. Further, Susan or Suzanne said I could do the test whenever. I said I don’t need to wait? Her response was how long has it been since you tested which was clear she hasn’t reviewed my chart. When I said a week ago her response was oh you should wait and when I asked how long she hung up on me. She hung up before I could ask how to get my new order as well. The customer service is beyond abhorrent and I am beyond dissapointed. I think Dr. Cohen was great and unfortunately the people I have dealt with post op have been unhelpful and making this process harder than needed.
I have an excellent relationship. My doctor is Dr Chris Alevizatos. He's very attentive, all of the staff have been very nice and helpful. I've never waited more than 20-30 minutes even though I'm always early. I highly recommend them.
In order to get to my urologist of 15 years you now have to go thru many layers of people. It impossible, 5 messages, one call back when I wasn’t available. It’s disgusting that you cannot speak with your doc. I hope they get the same horrible treatment from their own. I start with a new doc next month. Maybe they will treat me with respect.
By far the worst experience ever. I contacted them for a price on having a standard procedure done. I was told from them that they could not tell me how much it would cost until I set up a consultation with the doctor and then made an appointment for the procedure. After that they could contact my insurance and find out what they cover. I did all this and received the price a week before the procedure. They required me to pay upfront which I did. Months after the procedure they send me another bill for more money. When I asked why they said the initial amount was “just an estimate”. I could understand if the difference was 5-10% more but this was over 40% more. I asked to speak with the manager Veronica several times and never received a call from her until 2 months later when she told me she could do nothing about this because it was “just an estimate”. Stay away from this place!! They do not care!! Follow up: Chesapeake Urology did reach out to me after this review was posted however it was only to collect the money. They do not care about you at all. Stay away!!!!!!!!
Try to get an appointment is a nightmare. Your call goes to a call center where nobody speaks English. Still after 4 calls, never got issue resolved. Was told would get a call back 24-48 hrs later. I am going to l9ok for a new urologist now due to frustration. Nobody cares.....
Dr. Johnson and her team are always kind and professional. The staff at CUA are also great from being greeted when you arrive at the 5th floor, to checking in and checking out!
My husband had a biopsy a month ago, he has called 3 times , he was told the doctor has not read the report and no notes are in his chart, getting a biopsy is stressful enough, but made to wait over 30 days for results is totally unprofessional and totally unacceptable, Robert Pinnick
I've been on the phone for 30 minutes and 20 seconds talking to a scheduler about an appointment this week, as I had 2 kidney stones over the weekend with symptoms over the weekend as well. They gave me mid July for Dr. Seiglenbaum my physician. Trying to get an appointment with anyone! I was told you can't change doctors or you can't go back to Dr. Seiglenbaum! The man didn't seem to understand the urgency. Now, waiting for a call back within 24 to 48 hours! Unacceptable!
The office cancelled my procedure an hour before I was supposed to be there and after I paid them. Was informed I would get a call back to reschedule but that never happened because that person is now out of the office all this week. Called billing got a refund. Do yourself a favor, if you value time and an office who understands how scheduling actually works stay away from these guys.
Dr. David S. Stampfer and his staff are very kind. I had terrible pain and within 2 days they were able to see me. I really appreciated the effort they put in to accommodate me in such short notice. His secretary kept in contact with me to make sure everything was ok. If you ever need to see a urologist I would recommend Chesapeake Urology.
