Chestnut Street Auto Service

I needed an inspection sticker, so I thought I would try this place. The lady at the front desk actually drove my car into the bay, so I'm sure she noticed that my ABS light was on, which is something that almost automatically fails you at most places. She told me I couldn't pass once she came back, I said well I'll just take it then. She asked if I wanted it looked over I said sure. Then when time to check out, she puts a rejected sticker on. I mean seriously! That was extremely unnecessary. If I were dishonest I could've pulled the fuse. So now I have 5 days to fix things that are not pressing issues. Thanks for nothing. I will never return to pay for a rejection sticker.

This place had been suggested to me a few times in the past but because it was a bit far from me, I never went. Finally, I gave them a try. I can't believe how stupid I was for not going sooner! I will never go any where else. If you think you one thing wrong with your car and it is not or it is something else, they will tell you rather than doing what you thought was wrong and then fixing what was wrong. Their prices and excellent, the people working there are just the BEST and they do everything to make YOUR life easier by getting you car in and out, even with no appointment. Never go anywhere else!

LADIES! LOOKING FOR A TRUSTWORTHY MECHANIC? When the tow truck dropped off my vehicle for repair at Chestnut Street Auto Service, the owner and his right-hand assistant reassured me that they would do their best to get me back on the road that same day. I raised a dubious brow, "Today? But the other mechanics said it would take a FEW days." (The serpentine belt and tension pulleys broke). Well, true to their word, Chestnut Street Auto service not only fulfilled their word on the time frame, but also on the price range! Through the entire process, I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect. As a woman, that means a GREAT deal to me. So ladies, if you are seeking a trustworthy auto service, I highly recommend Chestnut Street Auto Service (623 Chestnut St, South Charleston WV 25309).

My best friend went to this establishment to have a ball joint fixed and not even one week after it had been “fixed” the tire fell off. Not only was it obviously not fixed but they refuse to take any responsibility for the problem. Absolutely horrible service if you ask me.
