Our 2021 Tahoe under warranty has been at this location for over 1 month to have the power steering fixed. To date, it is still not fixed, and we cannot get anyone to answer the phones or return a call. Our terrible customer service experience with this location began when I was told our Tahoe would not even be put in line for service unless and until we dropped it off on their lot. They would not take an appointment! Two weeks later, they supposedly began working on it which I only found out after physically dropping by the dealership to inquire, but we have not gotten any updates since then. I understand labor and parts shortages, but all we have asked from them is for some communication. It's been the most frustrating experience I've had with a car dealership, ever. My wife dropped by the dealership a day after the above post and the car was sitting in the lot with snow on it from the last snowfall which was about a week ago. My wife inquired what was happening with it and the person she talked to said they had two technicians working on it now, which was clearly untrue, and said our service rep was still out to lunch the one who is avoiding us and never returns calls. My wife pointed out that it is not being worked on evidenced by the fact it is sitting in the lot with snow that fell a week ago. So, they're not even working on the car after being in their possession almost 5 weeks and telling us they are, which is not true. Meanwhile our rental car receipts keep adding up.
Giovanni was very helpful. He presented 2 different vehicles. I understand how he wants to make sales. But I would suggest that he should had ask me what kind of vehicles I am looking for. He needs to improve on how he will be able to provide information of the vehicle. No rush to make a sale but the quality of providing service. I will sacrifice the cost of the vehicle if the customer service is excellent. I was very impressed on how he was able to close the sale of the vehicle. The Finance Manager, Mark seems not willing to extend help. But Giovanni made it happen to make things going. Thanks Giovanni Silva. You did well and tried your best and made sure I am happy of what I bought from Chevrolet. With this, I will give you a rating of 10.
UPDATE: They’ve located my vehicle. It’s nice they decided to park it under a bird sanctuary…see pic. Don’t waste your time attempting to have your vehicle serviced here. After leaving it there for 10 days it was never even untouched. Several messages, emails and calls went 100% unanswered during this time as well. Now I’m sitting here and after 20 minutes they still cannot locate my vehicle. No communication, no service, no organization. Unfortunately there are no decent alternatives in Anchorage.
Our salesman Christopher was very easy to work with, and did not hassle us to make a deal. He made us feel comfortable, explained all the available options, rebates and incentives. The process was relaxed and we did not feel pressured at all. Extremely happy with our purchase! 10/10 would absolutely come back to the dealership for our next vehicle.
The parts department is truly a godsend. Lost my keys and was looking at an outrageous amount for a new one. Went into dealership and and the gentleman Kaleb was more than helpful. Gave me everything I needed including new key fob and instructions for less than half what I was quoted everywhere else. If you need a new key for your gm vehicle I highly recommend going to Chevrolet of South Anchorage. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. In and out in under 10 minutes.
The best experience I could ever ask for! I had my vehicle over at swickard, just for the fact they were able to get me in faster. A Month after seeing my vehicle they said my part was on national back order. I gave a call to Chevy of South where I originally bought the vehicle. Ryan was able to get me in, but said my vehicle may take 2 weeks to be fixed because the technicians were super backed up. I have allot going on in my life at this point in time,so I argued relentlessly for a loaner vehicle. They did not have any, but Ryan was able to get my vehicle pushed to the front of the line and get it re-diagnosed and fixed withing a couple days. Communication was excellent all the way through. I really appreciate Ryan and Kenny working so well with me despite my bring very persistent.
Kong was awesome. He provided great customer service by keeping me updated on my vehicle and just overall really taking care of me. When I first brought my vehicle in March, the part I needed was on back order. It didn't come in until June and I was shocked when he called because I thought I had been forgotten about. The day I brought my vehicle in it was such a smooth process and I was in/out extremely quickly. It was ready same day, but I wasn't able to come until the morning to pick it up. When I arrived, my vehicle was park out front and ready to go. The whole check out process took about 5 mins, which was amazing because I was pressed for time. I will definitely be coming back and look forward to working with Kong in the future.
I have yet to get a callback and the service department doesn’t answer the phone. It’s disappointing as a first time buyer trying to get just an oil change. Don’t buy the lifetime oil changes because getting an appointment is near impossible without going there. Hopefully they will rebate the cost because I’m logging everything. I wanted this place to be better but it’s just not. My truck was dented twice during a long stay repair. Updated: Getting an oil change appointment is actually impossible. Received callback stating Oil Changes are done via Express service on walk-in and can not be scheduled. Was told to drive right in and it doesn’t take too long. This sounded promising so I gave it a try. Express Service visit attempt #1 going for just an oil change but instead lost $10 in gas and an hour of time driving down there & back because we already know they don’t answer the phone -Full for the rest of the day due to tire changing season -the best way to get an oil change is to leave the vehicle for a whole day this is the exact opposite of express service
Shane made sure I was one of the first ones to get help that day. I’d made an appointment but he told me the earlier I was there the better. Took his advice and I was the 7th to help helped. I got a ride home thinking I was going to be without a car for the whole day, 45 minutes later I got a phone call. My car was ready and I got a ride back : my car was nice and warm ready for me. Super happy thank you Shane!
The relatively new salesman was very friendly and helpful. He had just been learning about the Bolt EUV and when there were questions he did not know he quickly asked his boss and did not try to bluff is way through which I appreciated. It took some searching but we found an acceptable vehicle in transit and purchased it without any problems.
