Chevy Chase Ballroom is exceptional in terms of their dancing program. The atmosphere is friendly, fun, and inviting. Inviting to dance at every level, every style of dance. Dmitriy is very patient and thorough in terms of technique, style and grace. He is a very inspiring instructor. I would recommend Chevy Chase Ballroom to all levels of ballroom dancers, especially to the novice who never danced a step. In no time, you will be gracefully dancing on the dance floor like Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers--really!

My husband and I are social dancers and wanted to learn a few more moves. We signed up for ten classes and have gotten hooked. We have had three different instructors over time and each one has brought something special to the experience. We go during the day during the week so we can't speak to what it is like in the evenings or on weekends, but our experience has been excellent and we've learned a ton. We particularly love Irina, owner and champion dancer, and appreciate her natural enthusiasm and support.

Salsa Sundays! Starting at 5 the music entices to the salsa classes (rueda style). After the classes they have a social. There are many other dance styles and classes to sign up for (ballroom style) but I've only checked out the salsa.

Multiple spaces for varied classes and dances. Different presenters rent the same space, so for instance, "Argentine Tango" here can be very different depending on who is putting on the dance that week. The second and fourth Saturday tango milonga called "Milonga Porteno" by Viviana and Isadoro Levinson is the best. A presentation space allows simultaneous dance show recitals while swing or tango dancing is across the hall, creating ironic juxtapositions of suits and tutus.
