Such a fun place! We really enjoyed our time here. They have free bingo on Sunday mornings which we can't wait to do. The only thing we didn't enjoy was that there were a lot of kids running around even when we were playing the games outside they kept getting in our way and the parents wouldn't say anything. They have a sign with doggy rules, maybe they should post a sign for kids lol. But besides that, really loved this place!
The food at Chicken N Pickle is probably some of the freshest I’ve had since moving to the KC area. The restaurant uses food from family farmers in the community and you can definitely taste the difference. I had the Pickled Chicken sandwich and the serving size was extremely generous for the price. The salads on the menu look amazing as well, and I will definitely be back to try them. The restaurant is surrounded by pickleball courts so you can play, eat, drink, and then play some more. Inside, there are tons of huge big screen TVs so you don’t have to miss anything when your favorite sports team is playing. If you go - and you should - don’t forget to order fried pickles as an appetizer to get your visit started.
Pros: 1 Food flavor is fairly good 2 Fast food service 3 Provides convenient dining + group activities 4 The French Fries are perfect Cons: 1 Parking is absolutely atrocious - went on a Tuesday night, and everything nearby is full 2 Way too expensive for what you get - I understand that the people pay for what they have it set at, but seriously rather than pay $40/hour for 1 court to have people stare at you while playing, just go to a public Kansas City park with a Pickleball court and play for free 3 The $2 Tuesday tacos are absolutely atrocious - I wouldn’t eat another carne asada taco even if you paid me $2. The meat was dry, chewy, and flavorless. And the tortilla was very… oddly textured and flavored. Not to mention the fact that it was cold and smaller than any other taco I’ve ever eaten. 4 They’re a bit stingy with the meat in their barbeque bowl - the quantity of meat is about 80% of what you’d expect for this kind of bowl
Packed. It's hard to find seating especially when it's packed because it's open seating. To eat, you'll need to order at the food line. They'll give you a number. You can start a tab there too. I had the chicken chipotle bowl. I really enjoyed it. The chicken was well flavored and moist. Drinks were great as well as service.
CnP is a fun restaurant with plenty of games and distractions. Their staff is very friendly and attentive. Their chicken is juicy and tasty, but it is a little on the mild for spice. The deviled eggs were little underwhelming. The highlight of our meal was the brussel sprouts. We're going to come back and try it again. I was interested in the burnt ends sandwich but I'm skeptical any place that doesn't have any other barbecued beef.
I love the concept many games to play and spend the day eat and drink and watch sports games. Big variety of beers and drinks in general Brunch in the weekend, but I didn't like the items included and I think it's not worth the price 25$
My aunt ordered a puple haze and was not satisfied with it, after the staff helped me bring it to the manger Brittany's attention. She personally got a replacement drink and followed up at different times during our visit to make sure our experience and food was good. Our server Jonah was also very attentive, personal and efficient with her service. I enjoyed myself as well as the other people in my party.
For better or worse, it seems we had the same idea as every other person in Kansas City. We chose to stop by on a warm fall afternoon, and it was alarmingly busy for mid afternoon. For someone who hasn’t been here before, if you sit outside, there is a drink server outside, but you have to order your food inside, but they bring your food outside. If they are busy, be prepared to wait a little while. The clientele seems fairly young like mostly millennials, and the atmosphere is pretty loud, and I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, I’m just saying so you’re prepared if you go. It’s not gonna be a place for quiet conversations. Prices for the area were standard. Beer selection was average. Food reports from the family were fair, but personally I thought the pickled chicken sandwich was pretty badass. Only one court was playing, and they were pretty terrible it seems. From what I gather it’s like giant table tennis. I do like the fact they allow dogs. A decent experience, I’d probably go back, especially for the sandwich.
It was definitely a vibe to watch the UFC fights here. My group and I had such a great time and our waiter was super awesome. We were expecting a taco bar during this event but we found out they canceled the taco bar upon our arrival. It was a little disappointing but the food was great. The cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and wings were a hit! The pork tostada’s were super salty for my pallet but it might not be for you. My waiter was kind enough to take it off my bill and replace it with something else on the menu. Anyways, the spot was beautiful at night but I can’t wait to revisit during the summer when I can enjoy the outdoor scenery. Thanks chicken n pickle for hosting the fights! It was GREAT!
Fun place to go sit outside and play some games while waiting for your food. Good size portions for kids meals. Have to pay for pickleball, but connect four, ping pong and corn hole is free. Kids loved it!
