Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center

A very poorly maintained facility. If Hall County would put a little work and money into it, it could be great. Stalls are in terrible shape and not maintained. Every time it rains the barns flood. We had a show there last weekend and the electricity wasn’t grounded in one of the barns and kept shocking horses...we had to leave the electricity off the whole weekend in that barn! If you complain to the facility manager he argues with you about it and blames it on lack of funds. The electric situation could have been a disaster and a hug lawsuit on Hall County! From what I understand the facility is making good money and the profits are disbursed by the county elsewhere instead of putting it back into the facility to keep it in good repair. We have had our show here for years but exhibitors are saying they won’t come back next year if we use this facility again....unless maintenance and flooding issues are taken care of. Wake up Hall County Parks and Recreation and put some money and a good staff in this facility and I promise you it will make very good profits for the county!!! I am planning on going to the Gainesville Times and hoping they will write an article on this so the public is made aware of it!

Awesome IEA facility. Lots of stalls, restrooms, grill and parking
