We’ve been with CNPA Greenbelt since 2021 when our first child was born and we are very happy patients. Dr. Danita Tucker-Powell is an excellent pediatrician, and we’ve also been satisfied with the other providers we’ve seen for sick visits. It hasn’t all been rosy as there have been a number of transitions in just the last 2 years but in my opinion, they have been MAJOR improvements: - CNPA now has a call center to handle basic requests like appt scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations. I used to have to wait on the phone for up to an hour just to talk to the front office staff about rescheduling and now I’m only on the phone for a few mins. - If I do need to talk to the Greenbelt office, the call center can transfer me through and they will usually pick up very quickly. - The new patient portal is vastly superior to the old one. We rely on that portal for refills, non-urgent questions, access to all our records, and form completion for daycare. It’s been SO helpful and the response time is very reasonable. I do wish that it was easier to get sick visits and that wait times for those visits were consistently shorter. Sometimes it’s quick and easy, sometimes it’s not. But I also know that staffing is what it is and kids get sick a lot, so when we can’t go to CNPA for sick visits, we usually go to PM Pediatrics just down the block. Overall, we highly recommend this practice because of the great care our children have received and because of the changes they’ve implemented in response to patients’ needs.
i wish i could have a good review but honestly this is unacceptable i missed my daughter first month vaccines because i wasn’t aware she had an appointment i never received a confirmation call or even a call to reschedule if i missed the appointment i waited over a month but that’s because i brought in my other child to be seen for his physical but now i have to reschedule his appointment so my daughter can get her vaccines. Also, front desk staff could do better in communicating with you updating you about an appointment. But overall the doctors are great
I recently had a disappointing experience with Children's National Pediatricians & Associates in Greenbelt. All i want is a make an annual physical appointment. I found the staff to be very unprofessional and unwilling to accommodate any situation or listen to what I had to say. It seemed like most of the employees had an attitude of "why are you bothering me?" Unfortunately, even though I pay for a PPO insurance plan, I felt like I was stuck with one doctor's office children National . I can't find another one. I apologize for not remembering name of the the one person at front who is helpful, but she was the only bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience. It's a shame that such a healthcare system fails to deliver on its promises. The main issue seemed to lie with the front desk staff. Their lack of professionalism and dismissive attitude made the whole experience unpleasant. It's important for a healthcare provider to have a supportive and empathetic front desk team, and that was sorely lacking here. Overall, my experience with Children's National Pediatricians & Associates Greenbelt was awful. I hope they take steps to improve their customer service and create a more welcoming and caring environment for their patients.
Myself & three sisters were ALL patients here. Now all of our children are patients. I can’t imagine going to a different office. Always professional, always thorough, & I’m never felt anything be comfortable. Not to mention Dr.Hubbard now retired, helped me conquer my fear of taking shots. I feel like I’m with family every visit. Something to truly appreciate in this day & era.
I really like Dr. Nadia in this practice, but it is frustrating that when my kids are sick is impossible to have a sick appointment in this office, and I have to take them to urgent care. Their response: "Call back tomorrow and see if I have any appointment there." If I am calling, why can I not schedule an appointment for the day after? What is the point that my children's pediatrician only is able to see them only when they are healthy in the yearly check-up appointment? Very disappointment. Really bad service.
I want to say good things about the doctors here because they are great, but in my baby’s first 9 months of life, we’ve had to wait over an hour for every appointment. The front office staff is terrible at communicating changes and often, you are just left to wait in the room with no updates for long periods of time. When, you have a small baby, the last thing you want is to wait over an hour in a waiting room for an appointment. There is a lack of care among the office staff for people’s time that is unacceptable.
I had the worst experience in my life at CNPA 3/15/2023 let’s start by the front desk receptionist tell me to go buy a box of mask, because the Dr office did not have any mask really no mask. I’m on time for my appointment just to wait in the exam room for a 1hr. Ask multiple times about the Dr and the staff just sat there like it was normal for the wait time with patient to extremely long. The practice has went down ever since Dr. Hubbard retired and NP Guylene left. Ms Antoinette is amazing she has always been the sweetest person ever. Dr Goodwin omg very careless, I’ve never been treated with such disrespect by a Dr in my life. Please run away from that Dr. Goodwin Dr Tucker-Powell is a great Dr that’s why her panel is full. I will never never ever go back there I’m done. Oh if your late for your appointment you will be charged and have to reschedule, but the Dr is late it’s ok make it make since
If I could select no stars I would. The doctors are awesome and A1 if you ever get to one. Like previous posts stated, you wait for an hour to get called to the back and then you wait for another hour for the doctor to come in. My appointment was at 11 am and I was out by 1:30 p.m. and had to get my other kids from school at 2:00 pm!!! Even when you call, I hope you have an hour to wait for someone to answer the phone. I've gotten all of my kids records transferred to another office after 14 years of this. It is nothing like how it was when Dr. Hubbard was still there. Once they moved locations and she left the practice, it has been all downhill since then. Thanks for not valuing my time. My 5 kids no longer go here.
We would like to say something positive about this clinic because the doctors and medical assistants are kind. However, the administration is broken. Each time we have had a well-child visit, we have waited in the waiting room for over an hour surrounded by sick children. The front office staff are rude and disorganized. Every time we have needed the briefest form filled, we have had to call the office 3 to 4 times, wait on the call for 45 minutes, to be told that the form is lost and resend it, or that it will be filled and sent back and then it never comes. This has often felt like harassment, especially when the forms are sensitive. At a prior clinic, the doctor would typically fill out the form at the visit instead of making you wait four weeks with multiple follow ups. We have tried to stick it out with this clinic to allow for time to recover for new Covid protocols to settle, but they really have not found their groove.
We had our first visit with Dr. Tucker-Powell for a 2 month well visit. We had a great experience from start to finish. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. Dr.Tucker-Powell was the best! She answered most of my questions before I even had a chance to ask them. She was very thorough and gentle.
