The food was okay overall. Bbq pork was pretty dry, but the flavor was good. Fried shrimp was decent, a bit oil saturated. The sweet and sour chicken required a firm hand to cut through it. Kung pow chicken was okay but had a slightly strange flavor to me. The house fried rice tasted of cheap bacon and dry rice. The sesame beef was very good, and the main reason to get up to the 3 stars.
Bar only open with full menu. We are very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. white lemon chicken was incredible! The Pork chow mein was so delicious and very meaty not just onions and celery. The hot and shower soup was also very meaty and very tasty. The potstickers and spring rolls were delicious also. We have enough to eat for a couple of days very generous portions. Vegetarian options: I didn't look in depth but they did have a directly vegetarian selection
Chopsticks has changed a lot over the years. not a lot of people go there anymore as it seems. food is OK. it used to be better, but these are hard times. service was very good. drinks are stiff & cheap. I will be back. I have a never dying love for this historic spot.Food: 3/5
I visited the bar section of this establishment. Love the retro 70s' feel with the curved plush booths and other blast from the pass details. Please don't ever update it. Very big serving of tasty chicken lo mien. Service was great even with how busy it was. Drinks were on point. Majority of the visitors were polite and friendly with only a few being little rowdy here and there. But it was a Friday night after they had their share of drinks. Nothing crazy. Only annoying thing is the Jukebox that consumes your dollar for 2 credits for one song.
I'm from AZ on a multi year assignment here locally. I tried Chopsticks for the first time today and found the food and service excellent. The best Chinese food restaurant in Vancouver. We had crab puffs, the General Tsao Chicken and Special Lo Mein. Large portions with great flavor. We will be back for more.Food: 5/5
Chopsticks has that speakeasy feel. Very dark, beautiful lanterns and plush seating. A fantastic 80s-90s vibe. The food is amazing. Waitress is friendly once she gets to know you. You can tell she's used to regulars, and probably has anxiety, but she was polite and prompt.
The bar is the only thing open, bartender was very nice but obviously overwhelmed while the cook literally screams for her in the back while she taking orders.... The food was disgusting and made us sick.
Old school Cantonese cuisine of mediocre quality. One of the few places in town you can still find boneless almond fried chicken. I'll be at not the best. This place is popular for its bar
Well we used to order from here alot. But ordered from this place tonight and firstly the woman on phone when I called about the quality of food was absolutely horrible. Had to wait 10 mins cause chef didn't see potstickers on order. So then ten minutes rest of order was luke warm. Not HOT I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!
I have been gone for a few years now and OMG!!! I still love the food and drinks. Awesome peopleFood: 5/5
