Chris' Specialty Meats

This place is a mixed bag folks. They seem to excel at non-meat items. Their sides are consistently delish and we buy them often. We've gotten burgers there before, the fresh ones were fine, the frozen ones were mushy, sausage is meh, stuffed tenderloins are good, the hogs head cheese has too much gelatin and not enough meat or flavor and it also has a rubbing alcohol after taste.

Drove all over the city looking for someone who sold beef ribs; not those little things in the grocery. After driving around all day ended up being at Chris's right around the corner the whole time. They were delicious.

We just cooked the stuffed chicken thighs with jalapeños and cream cheese. They were absolutely delicious!! The chicken was so tender and juicy. The heat from the jalapeño was just perfect! Will definitely buy these again. So flavorful!

Found a large variety of meats, Will definitely be back again. Great service and an extremely clean facility. I highly recommend this place. Prices are very reasonable as well. I live 4 hours from New Orleans, and will.most likely take a day trip just to.come back to shop.

This use to be my favorite place to get red meat. But the last three brisket/sirloin tips I bought weren't labeled as "stuffed with already brown veritable". And you can cook stuff flank steak or sirloin tip just any old way without getting sick, ask me how I know. I can say my dog has been very pleased with the last $150 I spent.

There was moderate foot traffic in the store today. They had all of my favorite meats pre-packaged and the pricing was reasonable. They a a really good selection pre-cooked sides too. This was my first time going to Chris', but it will not be my last. I really like this place!

Such a great store! Top quality! Their sausage is amazing! I highly recommend this place. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

First, let me start by saying that the owner is super nice. He has no problem telling you about the entire inventory, and explaining the proper ways to heat, defrost, or cook anything in the store. The selection is top-notch. Every type of Boudin you can think of. Stuffed artichokes are fantastic. If you want Gator, he's got it. If you want meat pies, he's got it. He's got all the bases covered and has every type of Cajun cuisine you would want.

The prepared food is delicious and convenient. You can also order your whole pig or alligator for your parties. Our recent order did not arrive on the truck as scheduled. To say that they went above and beyond to ensure we had our gators on time and ready for our party is a huge understatement.

Awesome market, beef brisket sausage is incredible. Great lunch while I have a 12 smoke rolling on some beef ribs. I will be back.
