Christie’s professional training from Harvard’s Landscape Institute of the Arnold Arboretum, UMass Extension’s Green school, and continuing eduation seminars have fueled her passion for gardening and design. She passes on that excitement in the classes she teaches at Harvard University’s Arnold Arboretum and for Garden Clubs.
Christie earned the highest score to date from Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional’s (MCLP) certification test for landscape expertise and is also proud to be a Certified Organic Land Care Professional. In 2008, following a detailed submission of her portfolio and peer review, she was honored to become one of seven Accredited Professional Landscape Designers in Massachusetts.
Christie has published articles in the Newton and Brookline Magazines, as well as been featured in the Boston Globe Magazine and in PeoplePlacesPlants magazine. Her personal garden and other design commissions have been highlighted on Garden tours. A natural teacher, Christie mentors her clients, staff and other gardeners who are interested in proper pruning techniques from an expert Aesthetic Pruner.
