Wish service was better. There was only my husband, me and another customer in the restaurant. The waitress never checked on us and never refilled water before we asked. Pan fried pork dumpling: it was crispy and juicy. I would recommend this Szechuan style braised beef shank noodle soup: It would’ve been better if they used a little thicker noodles. However, the meat was soft and tender at the same time. Beef with cumin: Cumin flavor was too strong for me, but my husband enjoyed it. Overall, food was good but would go to somewhere else for better service.
I wish the service was as good as their food. The gentleman that served us was not pleasant. Our food came out fairly quickly. There were some dishes on the menu that we ordered that were delicious. I highly recommend the scallion pancakes and it pairs well with the beef shank noodle bowl. The cumin and beef dish is overwhelmingly cumin and spice. Only try this if you're a big fan of cumin, to some it can taste a bit like dish soap. The lo mein noodles had a funny taste unfortunately. The handmade pork buns were meh at best, The crab Rangoon and sweet rice cakes were delicious. Our drinks weren't filled consistently. The outside of the restaurant lacks curb appeal and the theme on the inside is a little off. It was really warm in the restaurant and there's a leak in the roof somewhere because you can see wet spots on the ceiling tiles that were above us that seem to have been there awhile. I hope they make some much needed changes to their costumer service. If you give it a try, I hope your experience is much better than ours... Happy Feasting, Everyone!!!
Found a Szechuan place in NW area that’s the way better than Asia district . The service is great. It doesn’t take long for the food to come after ordering. They offer some unique dishes that other Chinese food don’t have. The food I ordered is excellent that I almost overate.Recommended dishesPan Fried Pork Buns
The menu here is super vast! I wanted some comfort Asian food, and Chuanyu offered that. I ordered it through Door Dash, and it came hot and great portions. I got the 5 spicy crispy tofu and steamed pork dumplings. They were very good, and I had a bunch of leftovers.
Everything we ordered was pretty good! Chongqing Diced chicken with chili pepper is 11 out 10. They also serve good rice. Super recommended!
My fiance & I were looking for authentic food from Sichuan province of China. This place is absolutely amazing! Loved everything we ordered, the food portions are great and tasted heavenly! Highly recommend if anyone is looking for authenticity!
One of the most authentic Chinese food in the NW okc area. We ordered the pan fried pork dumplings, chongqing chicken with chili pepper, and griddle cooked potato in chili paste. We wanted to experience the szechuan spices and it did not disappoint! The spices hit the spot. If you're a fan of spicy food, I'd definitely recommend. Portions were generous and at a fair price. The menu was massive and they also had Americanized Chinese food, so there's something for everyone. The establishment itself is located behind some buildings so it can be easily missed from the road but they do have a big sign that's easy to locate. The restaurant is very clean and service was prompt. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the spot for you.
We ordered chili chicken, meicai pork belly, mushrooms and rice cake. Only chili chicken tasted, others are so so.
I’ve finally found good Chinese takeout on the far NW side! Lo mein had great flavor & fresh veggies, egg rolls were very tasty & crispy!
This humble little place is a treasure. To start, it is absolutely immaculately clean! .. and... The egg drop soup is among the best. I had the curry chicken. It is so good! The menu is impressive! Wow! And the server was a very sweet and honoring individual. I just had the Good Feels, in general. Please visit this little find! p.s. the music is so cool... it's Asian lyrics, a sort of blend of pop and ultra cool opera--a very cool blend.
