Welcome!
On behalf of the parish family of the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph I like to welcome you. The Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph was established in 1850 by the late Archbishop of New York, John Hughes. The parish is located in the beautiful Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn.
Initially founded to serve the vast immigrant population fleeing the Irish famine 1846-1852, St Joseph’s continues to meet the needs of immigrants from places as far away as Manhattan and Queens.
We would be pleased if you would join us for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, volunteer efforts to improve our community, prayers and devotion, quiet time and/or fellowship.
Whether you are a young hipster, an aging yuppie, a family that escaped from the jungles of Manhattan, or an immigrant family that has recently made your home in the United States — We hope you will find the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph’s to be a place you can call home!
