City Dental DC

I came in as a new patient needing a lot of work and a bit of confidence I am terrified of the dentist. Dr. Tsankis and Anna made me feel comfortable and explained everything that needed to be done as plainly as possible. I would definitely recommend his office to anyone looking for a new dentist. Especially patients that have a fear or some reservations about seeing the dentist.

Great experience at my recent dental appointment at City Dental DC. Everyone was extremely courteous, my appointment started on time, the staff were friendly and efficient, and Dr. Tsaknis was excellent. It was clear throughout the encounter that my comfort was of the utmost importance.

This was my first time and it was great. The whole staff especially my dentist made me very comfortable. The staff were friendly, kind, and very helpful. The office was neat and clean. I just loved the whole experience. I will definitely be back.

Tiffany has been my hygienist I think for 5 years now. We are on 3-mos. cleaning plan; every 3 mos. she cleans my teeth. I feel like a new person every time that I see her. She is detailed and efficient, so my cleanings take less than 30 mins. She cares about my oral health and makes sure to tell me areas that I need to focus on, like the back of my back teeth. I cannot express how much I appreciate her work.

I have been going to City Dental for several years. My experience up to my last visit was great. I could always get in and out within my hour lunch time. Tiffany is great, I give her 5 stars. But my last visit was another story when Dr. Tsaknis bombarded me with am aggressive 20-30 minute pitch about Invisalign, a GW sleep study, and what I need to say to the insurance company so they pay for it. It made me incredibly uncomfortable and I was so surprised by it all, that I didn't even know how to respond except to take it all in. Then to top it all off her is asking me my weight out in the middle of the reception area, with other customers standing right there. The whole experience was too much and I will not be returning to City Dental DC.

Excellent dental assistants and dental hygienists. Dr. Tsaknis is phenomenal. He accurately pointed out that I didn’t need a regular sleep guard...what I really needed was an oral sleep apnea device. He sent me to the sleep doctors who were impressed with his breadth of applied knowledge and their sleep tests confirmed that I had sleep apnea. I get restful sleep now. Yes, a dentist that can help with sleep issues. Dr. T really cares about his patients and is consistently educating himself and his staff to bring his patients the best care available. Love it here!!!

I'm not usually inclined to post negative reviews, but after seeing the comments on Yelp please go read them that exactly mirror my experience with Dr. Tsaknis, I feel obligated to caution others. I thought it was just bad luck the pain and expense I've experienced over the past two years as a result of three unnecessary fillings. As it turns out, lying to people to generate revenue from fillings and then performing them quickly and carelessly is standard operating procedure for him. I'd give anything to go back and seek out a second opinion and you'd be best served to avoid him.

This is a very impressive dental office which uses technology at each step from check-in in through the dentist showing pictures of each tooth while making recommendations. Gives detailed explanation of options and costs. Highly recommended

I've been going to this dentist for a few years but only the D st office for the past year and a half or so. I would definitely reccomemd the D st office for their organized and friendly staff. The hygienists are the best/nicest I've had and the dentists have always been professional. I hate going to the dentist and this place is making it easier - visit by visit

Every single person in this office is friendly and good at their job. They took the time to get my dental history, helped me improve my dental health and addressed each of my concerns.
