Best market in DETROIT hands down, I'd even say the best in Michigan. Used to live in the apartments above the store and got to know the staff well. It's always a nice reunion when I get a chance to swing thru. Great selection, awesome staff and great atmosphere. Prices are good as well for being downtown. 100% recommended

Living in downtown I do 99% of my grocery shopping here. The staff is SO friendly and accommodating beyond what they have to by far they remember familiar faces and are quick to help with anything. Yes we all know inflation has made everything expensive but you’d be shocked how many options they fit into such a tiny space! From household items to hygiene products, cleaning necessities, general groceries, fresh produce, prepped hot meals, frozen good, floral arrangements, limitless options for adult beverages, sweets, real baked goods and so on. Easily one of the most convenient and necessary spots in downtown, and open late! Thank you City Market!

Arrived in town later than expected around 10 PMish and wanted groceries for the weekend. This store appears to be a corner store but it’s not. The store had everything I needed and more, including fresh produce and sea moss. Even though it was late and I was gumpy the staff was super nice and attentive.

Great location, quick walk from the Ren Cen. Reminds me of cozy NYC bodegas. Could use more vegan options, but we were thankful for the ready-to-eat falafel and gluten-free baguettes to get us through a long weekend.

Great store for groceries. Over priced, but you are in the city to that’s expected. Also, don’t buy your vapes from here if you don’t want to spend over $20 on one. You’re better off hitting up a vape shop with better selection.

The inventory & organization is amazing. Best full service grocery store near downtown. So much tucked into a maze of compact aisles.

A must visit in Detroit. Grocery store, liquor store, beer store all in one very small footprint. The owner is a logistical genius!

I love this place too. I visit whenever I can't get out to a local supermarket but this past summer my grandson and I use to go at least 3 or 4 times a week. It's a wonderful downtown market that has the things you need as well as things you had no intentions on buying. I love their deserts. They have all kinds of sweets. They have homemade dinners prepared to go as well as sub sandwiches for the one who loves a great sandwich. This place is marvelous. Check them out. You won't regret it.

The staff is friendly, the security guard is way cute. Visually appealing, amazing products. Pretty affordable to me. I’m so happy I got to experience this wonderful treasure in Detroit. Great atmosphere, the way I wish my refrigerator looked
