Washington City Rescue Mission is the best charitable organization I have ever encountered. My son was in the men's program for more than a year, battling a heroin addiction. The care, support, and follow-up my son received saved his life. The Mission has a strong presence in the community and it seems that the whole city of Washington is engaged in support for those in recovery. There are many churches, NA meetings, support groups, and employers who work with the Washington City Mission to actively support those in recovery. They have an amazing network that provides continued assistance with housing and employment to help recovering addicts get back into the mainstream of life. They live what they preach and are serving the Lord in a very real way by serving those who have lost everything and restoring hope to families. The City Mission is truly worth supporting. Based on my own first hand experience with them, I can give generously without reservation .

Good place full of Caring people just don't like that they force religion on you in order to get help

They say they are all about helping the homeless and Christianity. Very untrue. Telling someone that they'll help you with furniture and a security deposit for a place then come up with some excuse as to why they can't. Never again will I ask them for help with anything. Just because you say you promote Christianity doesn't mean it's true. Yes they allowed me to stay but they never kept their word. Help those in need and keep your word like you say.
