My husband and I booked a 4.5 hour walking tour of Chelsea Highline, The Vessel, Soho, Meatpacking district, Wahington Park, Greenwich village and 9/11 Memorial. We had Ronny as our guide and he was amazing. Super knowledgeable about the history of New York but also very personable. He really tailored the walk to the tastes of my husband and I. We got lots of information and interesting tidbits of each district. We even got to ride the subway to our final destination. Not once did I feel we were being rushed or badgered to go somewhere that did not interest us. If you want a great experience of New York I highly recommend this tour company. Also I had booked months prior with Dan and he was very transparent about what to expect, cost and contact info for the day of the tour. I was well prepared prior to the tour thanks to Dan. Thank you City Rover walks for making our trip so special.
Me and my 13 y.o. son had an awesome experience on a 3h-tour with David. David was an incredible guide! We originally had already booked with another, much bigger enterprise, but they wouldn´t talk with us about the actual guide at all, and thus we cancelled there and went with City Rover Walks and David. Right decision! Best, Marcel+Nevis
We had a great time on our walking tour of NYC with Dan. Dan shared interesting facts about the city. We have a greater appreciation of the Big Apple!. Very professional tour group.
We had an excellent experience with this professional, knowledgeable business. We booked a private tour of the Brooklyn Bridge. Greg customized the tour to our group's level and specific interests i.e., teenagers who'd never been to NYC, with beginner knowledge of history. The tour was peppered with everything - colonial history, 20th century history, engineering and architecture, geology, politics, etc. An amazing three hours that was well worth the expense. Thank you!!!
We had a wonderful three hour tour with Dan. He was so knowledgeable, easy going and flexible with what we saw. We highly recommend a private tour with City Rover!
I highly recommend this as a great way to learn about New York city. Max is absolutely great! The 6 hour tour is relaxed and informative. So many great places to see and you get to navigate the subway with an expert. He knows great lunch and coffee spots and has an beautiful appreciation for the city. He will meet you at your hotel and customizes the tour to your group. It can evolve as you go. So pleased with everything we saw and did. Thank you Max!!
This tour was worth every penny...and then some! Andrew was so accommodating, he even changed our meeting spot on the fly because we hit traffic getting into the city. He was so knowledgeable about all of the spots that he took us to so that we learned something about the history of the city one stop at a time but it wasn’t a boring history lesson. Andrew was also very caring, in that whenever we passed a resting spot or restroom, he checked to see if anyone needed a break. He was so friendly and a great conversationalist and the three hour tour seemed to fly like it was a half an hour! So highly recommended and we can’t wait to make another visit to the city and do it again!
I have visited New York many times and Max made our tours of this great city amazing!! I was one of 14 ladies from the south and I highly recommend his services to anyone wanting to visit the Big Apple!!! He is an amazing knowledgeable guide!! Thank you Max for making us feel comfortable in your city!!
Great 4 hours spent walking about downtown NY. Max is a super guide, very well read about practically everything I wanted to know about New York and it’s amazing history. He is also the right person to get you the best coffee in town. Great experience! Thank you! Jenn Ong
We booked a private "Highlights of NYC" tour for our family of 4 with Max on one of the hottest days in New York sorry Max We felt cared for from minute one. Max met us in Grand Central and began our tour. Fun, facts, history, snacks, bathroom breaks, pop quizzes, trivia, little known tidbits, how-to subway etc filled our day. People on other tours nearby would lean in and listen while he described where we were. Our teenage girls love history and Max was able to walk and talk and teach, much to our delight! It was terribly hot so Max expertly guided us through shaded streets and past wonderful cafes to grab a cold lemonade. We had such a wonderful time, it was hard to say goodbye, but on the train ride home, all we could talk about was where Max could take us next. Don't miss out on this wonderful way to tour New York !
