Civic Center Music Hall

Great location downtown,the grounds are absolutely beautiful to look at/enjoy a walk around. The Civic center is a great place to catch either a play or a performance from the Oklahoma City philharmonic orchestra. I highly recommend getting tickets early so you don't miss your show or get less than desirable seats. The prices are good,the shows are even better so what are you waiting for?

There really isn't a bad seat as far as the view! The 1st time we went to a performance we sat in the upper level. The 2nd time we bought lower level seating. That was the best choice we could have made; money well spent! The lower level seating is wonderful; the seats are a comfortable width, as are the isles and rows. I was able to put my jacket in my seat and lean against it. There was enough leg room to sit comfortably.😁 The upper level seats are narrow, as are the walkways between the rows. It feels very cramped. My sciatic nerve was hurting from the arm rest cutting into my leg. I had to hold my full length coat on my lap the entire time, in the cramped space. We enjoyed the show, but we didn't enjoy our knees touching the back of the seats in front of us. We were completely unable to stretch our legs. There was no way to even slide our feet under the seat in front of us. That would have given our knees a little relief.☹

Beautiful, modern venue with spectacular acoustics. Easy to locate. I had a hard time with parking because the lots were full---I walked from a couple of blocks away. Not a big deal for me, but may be for others. It looks like the building is very accessible; ramps and wide doors are present (though I am not an expert). Not a lot of seating in the lobby, which again may be a problem for some. Event staff were very professional and helpful.

We went to the smaller theater (possibly the original theater) to see Tuna, Texas. The actors were wonderful. I was on crutches and the workers tried to help me be more comfortable. The only problem I had with it was the seats--possibly the original seats. They helped create an atmosphere of stepping back in time, but they were not cushy. I would have given them 5 stars if they had more comfortable seats.

Absolutely beautiful place inside and out. Have attended many events at this location and each and every one has been a delightful experience! Would recommend for anyone
