We are also members of the More Light Presbyterians network of congregations, working for the full participation of LGBTQ people of faith in the life of the church.We are young and old, straight and gay, singles, couples and families of all kinds. Some of us are life-long Presbyterians and others are completely new to faith. We are a progressive, diverse, and inclusive church community with a focus on serving our neighbors in need. What a wonderful progressive church community, inclusive in its worship and celebrating diversity. Even during the pandemic lockdown, this church has been amazingly active in mission work, raising a lush vegetable garden to feed the hungry, educating and taking action on race and social justice, supporting the homeless, and being a longtime advocate for the LGBTQ community.
As a 30-year member, I can strongly recommend Clarendon Presbyterian Church to anyone looking for a progressive, inclusive, and diverse faith community which feeds the food-insecure and actively works to promote social justice in Arlington, with a special focus on the LGBTQIA+ and immigrant communities.
I love this progressive, inclusive and diverse church! I hope you join us! All are welcome. We are worshipping online Sundays @ 10:18 am. Lots of opportunities to engage in service to the community as well!
